  • Patent number: 10785414
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include (i) identifying, by a multimedia device that is connected to an external display, an action that is to be performed by the multimedia device, (ii) selecting, by the multimedia device, at least one visual pattern that corresponds to the action, and (iii) displaying, when the multimedia device performs the action, the visual pattern simultaneously on both the multimedia device and the external display to visually indicate that the action is being performed. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6818057
Abstract: When hydrated, calcium sulfoaluminate cements form ettringite. A retarder which retards this reaction is at least one of phosphono alkyl carboxylic acid and a salt of a phosphono alkyl carboxylic acid. Additionally, the retarder can comprise at least one of a carboxylic acid and a salt of a carboxylic acid. The retarder can be prepared as an admixture for addition to cement, or the retarder can be included in a cementitious formulation. Also, other cements, such as portland cement, can be included with the calcium sulfoaluminate cementitious formulation. A method of retarding the set of a calcium sulfoaluminate cementitious formulation without substantially reducing achievable compressive strength, comprises providing in the cementitious formulation, a retarder comprising a component being at least one of phosphono alkyl carboxylic acid and a salt of a phosphono alkyl carboxylic acid.

  • Patent number: 5926172
Abstract: Video data transmission and display system configured for transmitting three video data signals and two synchronization signals over three lines while preserving polarity information for the synchronization signals. The system includes a video encoder which combines the R video signal and the HSYNC synchronization signal into a first video/synchronization composite signal and combines the B video signal and the VSYNC synchronization signal into a second video/synchronization composite signals. The two video/synchronization composite signals are transmitted, together with the G video signal, over respective ones of three transmission lines to a video monitor. The video monitor includes a video decoder which separates the original video and synchronization signals from each of the video/synchronization composite signals.

  • Patent number: 5230177
Abstract: A fly tying tool and optional braiding head attachment therefore for slidable mounting on a conventional fish fly hook holding device is disclosed. The tool features a body member containing a cylindrical bore therethrough which permits the member to be slidably mounted on the shaft of a fly hook holding vise such that the vise jaws project out of one end of the member. A plurality of elongate wire arms are tiltably attached to the body member such that they can be tilted between operative fly tying positions and retracted, storage positions. The tool also includes a guide collar which is removably attachable to a threaded end portion of the body member, the elongated outwardly opening grooves spaced apart therearound for confining the wire arms in the grooves when the arms are in their operative positions relative to the vise jaws.

  • Patent number: 4421444
Abstract: A fluid filter of the disposable automotive spin-on type has a cup-shaped member and a closure member which together form a chamber for receiving a filtering media. The cup-shaped member has a relatively thin side wall and an open end defined by a marginal edge including a bead. The closure member is a one-piece stamping of uniform thickness and substantially thicker than the cup-shaped member. The closure member closes the open end of the cup-shaped member and includes an annular rim which extends perpendicularly to the plane of the closure member and generally parallel to the side wall of the cup-shaped member. A channel defined by the rim receives the bead of the cup-shaped member and the rim is crimped to form a fluid-tight connection between the members.
