  • Patent number: 10836238
Abstract: A method of installing a vehicle component to a vehicle panel is provided. The method includes aligning a rib receiving channel of the vehicle component with an alignment rib that is formed integrally with the vehicle panel while also aligning a fastening opening of the vehicle component with a fastening opening through the vehicle panel. The alignment rib is inserted into the rib receiving channel. A fastener is inserted through the fastening openings of the vehicle component and the vehicle panel. The fastener is tightened while the alignment rib and rib receiving channel inhibit rotation of the vehicle component.

  • Patent number: 10836239
Abstract: A method of installing a vehicle component to a vehicle panel is provided. The method includes aligning a fastening opening of the vehicle component with a fastening opening through the vehicle panel. The vehicle component abuts against an alignment rib that is formed integrally with the vehicle panel. A fastener is inserted through the fastening openings of the vehicle component and the vehicle panel. The fastener is tightened while the alignment rib inhibits rotation of the vehicle component.

  • Publication number: 20200051062
Abstract: An electronic device may include a printed circuit board having a physically unclonable function (PUF) source. The electronic device may also include an integrated circuit (IC) chip positioned on the printed circuit board, and the first PUF source may be embedded in or formed on the printed circuit board external to the IC chip. The IC chip has processing circuitry that is configured to determine PUF data based on the PUF source. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a cryptographic key or authentication token based on the PUF data and to perform at least one secure operation using the cryptographic key or authentication token.

  • Patent number: 9764834
Abstract: A kite for a system for extracting energy from the wind, the kite comprising: a body having a wing for providing lift; means for connecting the wing to a tether; and means for controlling the flight of the kite in the wind, wherein the wing is constructed with an asymmetry in a spanwise direction from a first end of the wing to a second end of the wing to provide the wing with a naturally asymmetric shape at least when in flight. The asymmetry may be provided to optimise the shape of the wing for a flight pattern in which one end of the wing has a higher speed than the other end of the wing. For example, the asymmetry may be optimised to allow the kite to follow a flight pattern resembling a circle or spiral, from the point of view of a base unit of the system.

  • Publication number: 20170226991
Abstract: The invention provides a mechanical apparatus comprising: a main wheel rotatable about a main axis; four radially spaced pendulum axes parallel to and around the main axis, and four pairs of weighted pendulums. Each pair is mounted to the main wheel for 360° rotation about a separate pendulum axis. A latching mechanism associated with each pendulum pair releasably but independently holds one or both pendulum of a pair at one or more rotational position, the engagement and/or release of a pendulum by a latching mechanism being operated by the movement of pendulums within the same or other pairs and/or by the rotation of the main wheel. As the main wheel rotates about the main axis the pendulums rotate about the pendulum axes under the control of the latching mechanism.
