  • Publication number: 20230301322
Abstract: A comestible may include a solid mixture of at least 98% by weight inulin fiber by weight and 1.6% by weight other edible ingredients. The comestible may be a hard candy, cotton or spun fiber candy or nut or seed brittle. The comestible may be formed heating inulin fiber powder to its melting point or above and allowing the melted inulin fiber to cool and harden.

  • Publication number: 20210337844
Abstract: Snack bars incorporating more than 4 grams of prebiotic fiber derived from Chicory root fiber and methods of making such snack bars are described herein. The snack bars may incorporate chicory root fiber, coconut, dried fruits, with or without, nuts pieces, chocolate, seeds, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, herb, spices, and oils held together by a binder comprising chicory root fiber and may be enrobed with chicory root fiber as the outer coating. The methods may include mixing chicory root fiber into a binder made with honey and or syrup, mixing binder with a creamy crunchy chewy grain composition, add any additional ingredients, press into desired thickness, cut into bars, enrobe bars with treatments of chicory root fiber, and heat treatment processes to melt the chicory root fiber and form a uniform glossy surface that is appealing to the customer, and reducing water activity.

  • Publication number: 20190166892
Abstract: The present invention relates to legumes, and or nuts, and or seeds, and products containing the legumes, nuts and or seeds and to their methods of preparation. More particularly, the present invention is directed towards eliminating plant protein lectins in legumes, and or nuts, and or seeds and to the methods of preparation. Plant lectins are proteins produced by plants as a poisonous defense, and found in many of the foods we eat containing nuts and or legumes and or seeds. Everyday people enjoy eating snacks like; health/nutrition bars, candy bars, soy beans, cashews or even a can of peanuts containing the plant protein lectins. Many of whom are having adverse effects from plant protein lectins. In the Present Invention, the legumes, and or nuts, and or seeds are processed using methods unused and unknown to one skilled in the art. Resulting in legumes, and or nuts, and or seeds in which the plant protein lectins are removed.

  • Publication number: 20050047114
Abstract: A self-contained illumination device for illuminating medicine container labels in low-light level conditions is provided. The illumination means includes a light source component for illumination, an electrical switch component to control the light source, supporting circuitry components to energize the light source, and a housing structure for supporting and enclosing the components, directing the illumination to the label, and coupling the illumination device to a medicine container receptacle or a conventional medicine container cap.

  • Publication number: 20040179623
Abstract: A differential error detector includes a first DC coupler having a signal input that receives a first signal component of a differential signal representing a predesignated series of logic states, and a second DC coupler having a signal input that receives a second signal component of the differential signal representing a complement of the series of logic states, wherein at least two types of logic bits are encoded according to at least two corresponding differential amplitudes between the first signal component and the second signal component. A DC source coupled between a bias input of the first DC coupler and a bias input of the second DC coupler imposes an offset between the first signal component and the second signal component. The offset selectively reduces the differential amplitude of one of the types of encoded logic bits between a signal output of the first DC coupler and a signal output of the second DC coupler.
