  • Patent number: 12287231
Abstract: There is provided a method of measuring liquid volume in a sealed container of a breast pump of known volume comprising liquid and gas. The method includes a measurement phase, measuring the volume of gas in the container by changing a first parameter of the gas by a known amount. The method also includes measuring a change in a second parameter of the gas; calculating the volume of gas in the container using the measured change and a predetermined operation equation; and determining the volume of liquid in the container based on the calculation.

  • Publication number: 20250095486
Abstract: The following relates generally to providing virtual reality (VR) alerts to a driver of an autonomous vehicle. For example, a vehicle may be driving autonomously while the driver is watching a VR movie (e.g., on a pair of VR goggles); the driver may then receive a VR alert recommending that the driver take control of the vehicle (e.g., switch the vehicle from autonomous to manual mode). The following also relates to generating a VR feed for presenting real-time road conditions so that a user may preview a road segment. The following also relates to generating a VR feed corresponding to an event (e.g., a vehicle collision, a crime, a weather event, and/or a natural disaster).

  • Publication number: 20250050752
Abstract: Methods and systems for charging an electric vehicle (EV) are described herein. An EV may require additional battery power to reach a charging station. A remote server in communication with the EV or an on-board computer or mobile device in the EV may obtain data to determine a location for the EV to meet a charging vehicle. The charging vehicle may be dispatched to meet the EV and deliver power to it, enabling the EV to reach a charging station or other destination. In some examples, the charging vehicle may deliver power to the EV while both vehicles are stationary. In other examples, the charging vehicle may couple to the EV while both vehicles are in motion.

  • Publication number: 20240386249
Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for generating one or more conditionally dependent data entries using a probabilistic generative model, and for training that model. The probabilistic generative model is trained using a plurality of data generation tasks respectively corresponding to a plurality of vectors each having a sequence of differently indexed data entries that are conditionally dependent on each other. Each of the data generation tasks involves generating at least one latent data entry selected from the sequence of data entries in response to being provided at least one index for each of the at least one latent data entry. Training can be performed by minimizing an expected value of a denoising loss over all training stages.

  • Patent number: 10530917
Abstract: A system and method automates the tuning of one or more hands-free library parameters. The system and method plays one or more test signals that vary in frequency and in amplitude out of a hands-free system under test or the hands-free tuning system and records the responses of a hands-free tuning system or hands-free tuning system at a microphone of the hands-free tuning system and a microphone of the hands-free system under test. The system and method measures the sound generation and sound pickup characteristics of the hands-free system under test or the hands-free system with respect to the one or more of the test signals and one or more of the microphone signals. The system and method calculates tunable parameters. The system and method updates a hands-free system library with the calculated plurality of tunable parameters.

  • Patent number: 10454533
Abstract: A method of estimating and compensating for Doppler frequency shifts includes providing an accurate reference device for generating an accurate reference frequency in a Doppler estimation and compensation (DEC) system, the DEC system being electrically connected to a user device. The DEC system receives one of a downlink signal from a base station and an uplink signal from the user device. The one of the downlink signal and the uplink signal is compared to the accurate reference frequency. An estimate of a Doppler frequency shift associated with the one of the downlink signal and the uplink signal is determined. An offset Doppler frequency shift of opposite sign as the Doppler frequency shift is added to the one of the downlink signal and uplink signal to provide a compensated signal. The compensated signal is transmitted to one of the base station and user device.

  • Patent number: 10168245
Abstract: A sensor system provides measurement of building interstory drift based on a laser beam impinging on a discrete diode sensor array. The diode sensor array determines the location at which a projected laser bean strikes the array, which provides a direct measurement of interstory drift. The diode sensor array is a two dimensional array of discrete diodes that allow the location of an impinging laser beam to be very accurately tracked as the beam moves back-and-forth across the diode array. Local rotations of the laser source that result from rotations of structural members (e.g. floor beam rotation) are appropriately corrected for. This allows accurate, dynamic measurements of the interstory drift between two floor levels of a shaking building.

  • Patent number: 8919253
Abstract: A perforating system that transfers a detonation wave between adjacent perforating guns by converting shockwave energy to electrical energy. An explosive is provided on an end of a detonating cord that is coupled to shaped charges, so that a detonation wave traveling in the detonation cord will initiate detonation in the shaped charges and then in the high explosive. The explosive is disposed adjacent a pair of members that are energized so that a magnetic field is formed between the members. When the explosive detonates, the resulting shock wave pushes one of the members into the space between the members to compress the magnetic field. Compressing the magnetic field produces an electrical potential usable to initiate a detonation wave in another detonating cord for perpetuating the detonation wave along the perforating system.
