  • Patent number: 11972577
Abstract: Present embodiments pertain to systems, apparatuses, and methods for analyzing and reporting the movements in mechanical structures, inanimate physical structures, machinery, and machine components, including automatically detecting aliased frequencies of a component on the structure which exhibits frequencies higher than the maximum frequency of the FFT spectrum calculated from the acquired data. To automatically detect the presence of aliased frequencies, a second virtually identical recording is acquired using a slightly different sampling rate and this provides the basis for detecting frequencies which are greater than the Nyquist sampling rate of the video recording and calculating the true frequency value of the aliased peaks in the frequency spectrum.

  • Patent number: 10842704
Abstract: A Sleep Board Solution. The sleep system assembly has five key benefits: First: providing a solid foundation which aligns the hips, shoulders, back and neck naturally while sleeping. Second: providing a completely unique engineered and manufactured multi-layered foam support system that applies a mild constant traction to the spine and back during the sleep cycle stretching the discs and vertebra to enhance blood flow and promote natural healing during the sleep cycle. The third benefit is that it provides maximum sleeping comfort while totally eliminating any discomfort from the “bottoming out” of hips, shoulders, elbows or knees through the multilayered foam against the solid foundation. In adapting the system, an individual's specific needs/issues are first analyzed in order to optimize the system features for that individual.

  • Patent number: 10795707
Abstract: A processing system including a host system having a host processor, an associated host memory system, user interface, and a host operating system. The host operating system runs a virtualization program for creating a virtual machine including virtual hardware, a virtual operating system, and a virtual application program running in conjunction with the virtual operating system. The virtual machine instantiates the virtual application program in response to a user request through the user interface to initiate a function. In response to user inputs through the user interface, the virtual machine executes operations with the virtual application in conjunction with the virtual operating system to implement the requested function such that the host system is isolated from an attack initiated during execution of the virtual application program by the virtual machine.

  • Publication number: 20070076232
Abstract: A microscope system includes at least one lens that defines an illumination field and at least one light source that emits an illuminating light beam for illuminating a specimen through the lens. At least one detector is provided for, pixel-by-pixel, detecting a detection light beam coming from the specimen. An electronic circuit is connected downstream from the detector, the electronic circuit including a memory unit for storing a wavelength-dependent brightness distribution of an illumination field of the at least one lens. The electronic circuit employs, pixel-by-pixel, the stored wavelength-dependent brightness distribution so as to form a homogeneously illuminated image field. An actuatable element is provided for controlling, pixel-by-pixel, an intensity of the illuminating light beam as a function of the stored wavelength-dependent brightness distribution so as to homogeneously illuminate the illumination field.

  • Publication number: 20060266516
Abstract: A multi part centralizer can be secured quickly to tubular to be cemented and expanded in a deviated wellbore. The segments ratchet with respect to each other and are capable of holding the centralizer snug against the tubular for delivery downhole and cementing. After cementing the expansion of the tubular is not significantly resisted by the centralizer as its diameter increases with the expanded tubular below it. The end position after expansion is held due to the ratchet feature insuring the fixation of the centralizer as the cement sets.

  • Patent number: 6839584
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reproducibly interfacing a living tissue sample to the measurement probe of a spectrometer instrument in-situ minimizes spectral interference related to sampling variations. A minimal contact subject interface includes supports replaceably mounted on a base. An optical coupling means, such as a fiber optic probe, contacts the measurement site through a probe aperture in the base. During use, a subject rests an extremity on the support elements, so that the extremity is reproducibly positioned and supported in relation to the optical coupling means. The supports have a small contact area, minimizing contact with the skin at the measurement site. The interface module is adjustable to fit any subject. By reproducibly positioning and supporting the body appendage using minimal contact supports, spectral interference due to variations in placement, applied pressure, and temperature transients secondary to contact with the interface module are greatly minimized.

  • Patent number: 6823447
Abstract: A field is defined in branch instructions which is interpreted by software as “Hint” bits and these bits are used to signal the processor of special circumstances that may arise when doing speculative branch instruction execution to enable better branch address prediction accuracy and a reduction in link stack corruption which improves overall execution times. A programmer or compiler determines if a branch instruction usage fits in the context for a Hint action. If so, the compiler or programmer, using assembly/machine language, sets Hint bits in the branch instruction when it is compiled. If the branch is later speculatively executed, the processor decodes the Hint bits and executes and a hardware action corresponding the decode of the Hint bits. These Hints include four specific Hint actions, however, the field reserved for Hint bits is five bit wide reserving up to thirty-two specific Hint cases may be specified.

  • Patent number: 6662360
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for software manipulation of hardware prediction mechanism in a data processor with software prediction. The hardware branch prediction mechanism is enhanced with at least two bits for path prediction. These bits are settable by a software and are capable of overriding the hardware branch prediction mechanism. Branch prediction information is encoded into a branch instruction in the software. This information includes a pre-determined value for each bit. Finally, a branch path of said instruction is predicted based on the value of the bits.

A mobile video-audio switch(MVAS) device is mounted in the motor vehicle and it has four different video-audio input devices electrically connected thereto and four liquid crystal display(LCD) screens are also mounted in the motor vehicle. Four separate wireless remote control transmitters send individual signals to the MVAS device directing that signals from any of the different video-audio input devices be sent to any of the individual LCD screens. Individuals viewing the respective LCD screens can receive an audio input through a headset that they may wear or they may receive the audio signals through the radio and speaker system already installed in the motor vehicle.
