  • Publication number: 20140052592
Abstract: A collection and analysis system is described herein. The system may serve as an “eye in the sky” to observe, assess, collect and audit taxes on most non-cash transactions. The system may query an electronic payment processor to produce a dataset relevant to a particular tax authority, analyze that data, and thereafter send instructions directing the electronic payment processor to deduct and transfer tax monies to an account controlled by the tax authority and/or its agents prior to settlement with the vendor. The system may leverage the electronic transaction information, and third party databases and other information, to further identify vendors who are subject to the jurisdiction of the tax authority and to provide auditing services.
