  • Publication number: 20240081829
Abstract: A system for delivering an implant device to a vascular site in a patient a delivery pusher apparatus, an implant device detachably connected to the delivery pusher apparatus by a tether having a distal end connected to a proximal end of the implant device, wherein the tether is substantially non-tensioned when connecting the implant device to the delivery pusher, and an electrical heating element configured coaxially around at least a portion of the tether, wherein heat generated by the heating element severs the tether at a point near the proximal end of the implant device.

  • Publication number: 20240078755
Abstract: Computing an image depicting a face having an expression with wrinkles is described. A 3D polygon mesh model of a face has a non-neutral expression. A tension map is computed from the 3D polygon mesh model. A neutral texture, a compressed wrinkle texture and an expanded wrinkle texture are computed or obtained from a library. The neutral texture comprises a map of the first face with a neutral expression. The compressed wrinkle texture is a map of the first face formed by aggregating maps of the first face with different expressions using the tension map, and the expanded wrinkle texture comprises a map of the first face formed by aggregating maps of the first face with different expressions using the tension map. A graphics engine may be used to apply the wrinkle textures to the 3D model according to the tension map; and render the image from the 3D model.

  • Patent number: 7661530
Abstract: A pill organizer assembly and the associated method of organizing and isolating multiple doses of pharmaceuticals using a pill organizer. The pill organizer includes a holding case. A plurality of partition walls extend between the side walls in the holding case. The partition walls define a plurality of compartments. A lid is provided that is selectively positionable into a closed position on the holding case. A plurality of removable receptacles are provided. A removable receptacle is disposed within each of the plurality of compartments. The lid creates a seal against each of the removable receptacles when the removable receptacles are within the plurality of compartments and the lid is in its closed position. The seal created by the lid isolates the contents of the removable receptacles until they are removed from the holding case.

  • Publication number: 20070243013
Abstract: A tool system is disclosed for mounting a nut or similar mechanical component in a mechanical mounting system. The tool system includes a spanner ring that has a series of protrusions that engage notches or recesses in a nut to be driven in the mounting system. A series of external notches form pockets around an outer periphery of the spanner ring to allow the spanner ring to be forcibly driven by a power tool. The spanner ring may be reversibly mounted on the driven nut to permit the notches to be engaged for both tightening and loosening the nut in the mounting system. A wrench-drive ring may be interfaced with the spanner ring to drive the rings and nut in rotation where sufficient axial space is available to receive rotating power tool, such as an impact wrench.

  • Patent number: 6088865
Abstract: A vehicle mounted broom that has a modular construction, improved sweeping action and versatile mounting capabilities. The modular construction allows wings to be attached to the main housing to increase the length of the broom and, if desired, the sweep angle. The broom has uniquely configured brushes that reduce greatly or eliminate rocking of the brushes with respect to the housing to which they are removably mounted. The versatile mounting system includes mounting brackets fixed to the housing which receive various mounting packages for mounting to different vehicles.

  • Patent number: 6089478
Abstract: A spreader assembly for spreading materials such as, for example, salt seed or fertilizer. The spreader assembly includes a motor and transmission drive assembly which is mounted outside of the hopper to protect the motor and drive assembly from corrosive materials in the hopper. The transmission motor assembly allows a small motor with high revolutions per minute to be used and still supply the necessary torque needed to properly spread material. The spreader assembly also includes a modular mounting frame system which allows the frame to be mounted to vehicles of different sizes. The frame allows pivoting of the spreader about one axis and latching to a latching bar to secure the spreader assembly in the latched position. Rail mounting brackets are disclosed which permit mounting of the frame to the bed rails of a vehicle without the need to drill holes in to the bed rail.

  • Patent number: 4192559
Abstract: A rotary union comprised of housing defining a generally cylindrical chamber, a rotatable shaft, a plurality of stationary bearings and an end cap. The cylindrical chamber is open at one end. The housing has an inlet port and an outlet port through the housing in communication with the chamber. The chamber has a shaft rotatably mounted therein on stationary bearings contained within the chamber. The rotating shaft has a port axially spaced to be in line with the inlet port in the housing to receive a fluid with lubricating capacity. The fluid is conducted through the shaft by way of a second port to a rotating element which the shaft is suitably affixed. The fluid is allowed to seep within the union, thereby providing a lubricating function. The shaft, also, has a plurality of drain ports in communication with the outlet port in the housing to permit discharge of seepage fluid. An end cap preceded by a shim is placed in the chamber opening, enclosing the opening.
