  • Patent number: 11932847
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of fragmenting DNA comprising contacting a sample of target DNA with (a) a composition comprising an active transpososome, and (b) a composition comprising an inactive transpososome, under conditions suitable for transpososome activity, wherein a ratio of an amount of the inactive transpososome in the composition of (b) to an amount of the active transpososome in the composition of (a) determines the mean fragment size and a level of insertion bias.

  • Patent number: 11936558
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evaluation of networks and changes thereto using automated analysis of network models. The automated analysis can be used to determine how to implement and mutate networks efficiently and effectively, to determine whether and why network resources are unable to communicate with each other, and the like. Automated analysis can allow users (e.g., network administrators) to define networks and pose changes to networks using high-level policies (e.g., written in a declarative language), have those polices automatically translated to lower-level implementation operations for analysis, and in some cases have results of the analysis presented back to the users in an easy-to-understand form.

  • Publication number: 20230226610
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a target material is provided and includes installing a substrate, providing a raw material powder to the substrate, melting the raw material powder on the substrate by a laser, and repeating the step of providing the raw material powder to the substrate to melting the raw material powder on the substrate by the laser to form a target material and rapidly cooling the formed target material. As such, the target material is produced by the method of lamination manufacturing via the rapid cooling property, so as to avoid the problems of high cost, long man-hours and poor quality of the target material in the conventional techniques.

  • Patent number: 5797016
Abstract: A system for updating an agent used in a backup software program. The backup software program operates on a network having, for example, a server and a number of workstations. A backup engine executes on the server. An agent executes on each of the workstations to be backed up. The backup engine transmits an updated agent to each workstation, transmits an executable regeneration module to each workstation and transmits an execute command to the agent at each workstation. The agent at each workstation stores the updated agent and the executable regeneration module and causes the execution of the executable regeneration module. The executable regeration module deletes or renames the agent, and also renames the updated agent to the name of the agent and thereafter enables operation of the updated agent as the agent.

  • Patent number: 5245536
Abstract: A portable electronic financial calculator and planner displays all the variables associated with the financial problem to be calculated on one screen to enable the user to more efficiently input numeric information corresponding to the various variables of the desired financial calculation. To display all the variables in common English terms, the portable financial calculator and planner has separated the financial problems into separate applications which enables this device to display variables distinct to the selected problem. This portable financial calculator and planner includes a display panel having at least eight lines of multi-digit display units. The portable electronic financial calculator and planner also has an input device which allows the operator to input numeric information into the fields corresponding to the known variables of the financial problem by allowing the user to utilize a movable cursor which is capable of moving from field to field.
