Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for generating a product value. In some embodiments, a method for generating a product value includes the steps of receiving a product value request from a user, providing a product value information portal, accumulating product value information, and generating a product value. In some embodiments, a system for generating a product value includes a user interface adapted and configured to receive a product value request from a user for a specified product, a portal adapted and configured to receive value information from a plurality of users for the specified product, and a processor adapted and configured to accumulate product value information and generate a product value.

Abstract: A preferred method for providing a guarantee for a value of product includes the steps of receiving product information, generating a product value based on the received product information, and providing a guarantee that a user will receive a payment for a product, the payment having a value at least equal to the generated product value. A preferred system for generating a product value includes a user interface adapted and configured to receive product information; a processor coupled to the user interface, wherein the processor is adapted and configured to generate a product value based on the product information received by the user interface; and a payment having a value at least equal to the product value. The system and method are preferably designed for the ecommerce field and, more specifically, for guaranteeing a selling price of a product in the ecommerce field.

Abstract: A music application guides a user with some musical experience through the steps of creating and editing a musical enhancement file that enhances and plays in synchronicity with an audio signal of an original artist's recorded performance. This enables others, perhaps with lesser musical ability than the original artist, to play-along with the original artist by following melodic, chordal, rhythmic, and verbal prompts. The music application accounts for differences in the timing of the performance from a standard tempo by guiding the user through the process of creating a tempo map for the performance and by associating the tempo map with MIDI information of the enhancement file. Enhancements may contain MIDI information, audio signal information, and/or video signal information which may be played back in synchronicity with the recorded performance to provide an aural and visual aid to others playing-along who may have less musical experience.

Abstract: An acoustical stringed instrument includes a body, which has a top member having a generally flat forward part. The body also has a back member which includes a side wall with an upper section and a lower section and an inner side wall surface generally perpendicular to the forward part of the top member. A neck member of the instrument has an elongated upper portion extending upwardly from the upper section of the body side wall. Additionally, the neck member has an elongated lower portion extending through the interior of the body between the upper section and the lower section of the side wall and spaced rearwardly of the forward part of the top member. The elongated lower neck portion has an upper mounting means fixed to the inner side wall surface at the upper section of the body side wall, and a lower mounting means fixed to the inner side wall surface at the lower section of the body side wall.

Abstract: A top member for the body of an acoustical stringed instrument includes a forward part having an interior portion spaced inwardly from the side wall of the body after the top member has been assembled to the body, the interior portion having a pair of composite material layers with a core layer bonded therebetween. The forward part further has a core free flex edge portion which borders the outer periphery of the interior portion, and is made by having the pair of composite material layers bonded in contact with each other. A skirt projects rearwardly from the rear surface of the flex edge portion and extends along the edge of the flex edge portion. When its top member is assembled with the body, the skirt slidably fits over the sidewall of the body.

Abstract: A bridge type piezoelectric pickup for guitars and other stringed instruments that has a flexible circuit board carrying a pair of transversely polarized piezoelectric crystals for each string, the two crystals of each string being closely spaced from one another along the length of the string and supporting a common saddle resting on both of the crystals and supportingly engaging the associated string.
