The first inlet is fluidly coupled to the first outlet via the first channel. The device also includes a second inlet and a second outlet. The second inlet is fluidly coupled to the second outlet via the second channel. The device includes a first cover supported by the first side of the housing. The first cover is made of a first material. The device also includes a second cover supported by the second side of the housing. The second cover is made of a second material that is different than the first material.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are hybrid materials including a polyvinyl alcohol component combined with a filler. The filler may be one or more of crystalline nanocellulose and chitin nanofibers. The hybrid materials may also include water, and in such cases are designated hydrogels. The hybrid materials may be substantially free of solvents including water, and in such cases are designated aerogels.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for importing media files from emails. A method for importing media files includes searching email accounts for media files attached to or embedded in emails, and importing any media files found in the search from the emails accounts into an electronic storage unit. The media files in some cases can be processed, such as by converting the media files from one format to another. A harvested media file ready for use can be committed for use with broadcast content.

Abstract: Sharing media content among families of broadcast stations includes receiving information relating to media content from families of broadcast stations, storing the information such that the information is accessible to at least two of the families of broadcast stations via a computer network, receiving a query for specific media content from a broadcast station, searching the stored information in accordance with the query to identify the specific media content; and enabling the broadcast station to access to the specific media content if the specific media content is identified among the stored information.

Abstract: A system and method for delivery and management of live and pre-produced broadcasts is disclosed. Programming can be distributed in real time over a delivery medium (e.g., satellite). Stations can streamline program management using a depot. The depot may centralize storage and program retrieval. The depot can be of the form of a distributed content storage and management system. Alternatively, the depot may be located at a hub that can be used to capture and manage all broadcast content and associated data and meta-data which are non-radio content.

Abstract: The pump station control system and method monitors and displays a time history of the operating parameters of a pump station. Sensed operating parameters are transmitted to an operator in real time and are stored at predetermined time intervals over a predetermined period of time. A real-time cost parameter of the system is calculated that provides a measure of the cost per throughput of the material being pumped. The system can be optimized for the cost parameter by controlling system variables such as pump speed in response to the level of fluid.

Abstract: A resistive thermal printer has a platen drive mechanism which includes (1) a thermal printhead having an array of selectively-activatable thermal elements and (2) a rotatably-driven platen roller opposed to the printhead and forming a nip with the printhead through which a receiver medium is driven by the platen roller while the thermal elements are selectively activated. The platen roller has an outer layer of perfluorinated polymer. The platen roller includes a compliant layer below the outer layer of perfluorinated polymer.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward recombinant attenuated canarypox virus expression vectors containing exogenous DNA segments encoding lentiviral gene products. A parental canarypox virus (Rentschler strain) was obtained and attenuated through more than 200 serial passages on chick embryo fibroblasts. A master viral seed was subjected to four successive plaque purifications under agar and one plaque clone was amplified through five additional passages after which the stock virus was used as the parental virus in in vitro recombination studies. This attenuated plaque purified canarypox isolate was designated ALVAC. A series of ALVAC recombinants were generated that are capable of expressing different HIV and SIV gene products including Gag, Pol, Env, and Nef. These recombinants provide useful reagents for the generation of viral-specific immune responses.

The input and output ports include microporous filters to prevent accidental loss of mercury.

Abstract: A pump control system using a purge bubbler, a flat plate manometer having level sensing contacts therein, and control relays and alarms. The flat plate manometer includes a rectangular mercury column having calibration scales and a number of stainless steel contacts disposed along the column. The mercury closes a circuit between a common contact and the column contacts as the mercury rises. The manometer is fabricated from acrylic plastic to provide a light weight, low cost device. The input and output ports include microporous filters to prevent accidental loss of mercury. The input port is connected to a bubbler air pump and a standpipe in the vessel to be controlled. Pump start relays are connected to selected contacts of the manometer column to operate in accordance with the hydrostatic level of the liquid in the vessel. Interlocking relays are used in cooperation with the pump relays to allow pump start and pump stop levels to be independently selected.
