Publication number: 20260146421Abstract: The water dispenser may comprise a housing assembly, a water generation assembly, a water storage assembly, and a water utilization assembly. The water generation assembly may be positioned within the housing assembly and is designed to extract water from the air. In preferred embodiments, the water generation assembly comprises a desiccant system designed to extract moisture from the air and convert it into water using a desiccant. The process typically involves pulling air into the system, where it comes into contact with a desiccant that attracts the moisture. This moisture-laden desiccant is then heated, releasing the water vapor, which is subsequently condensed into liquid water and collected. The water generation assembly utilizes a lateral fan and a custom air duct to direct the air in a lateral flow pattern through the water dispenser. The water storage assembly is mounted to the housing assembly and is adapted to store and sanitize the water collected by the water generation assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2025Publication date: May 28, 2026Applicant: Kara Water, Inc.Inventors: Cody Soodeen, Colin Paterson, William Irvine

Patent number: 9302240Abstract: A method and system for assembling building blocks of colloidal particles and also for shaping of colloids for self-assembly for manufacturing, processing and formation of compositions of matter. A first type of particle is selected as a “key” particle constructed to mate with a “lock” particle, the binding arising from depletion forces. A variety of shapes can be used to carry out this method and system to create compositions of matter. Colloids can be shaped by controlled deformation of multiphase colloid particles.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2014Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Assignee: New York UniversityInventors: David J. Pine, Paul Michael Chaikin, Stefano Sacanna, William Irvine

Publication number: 20060185332Abstract: A spark suppression device includes a plurality of blades or vanes that are mounted transversely in a duct of an air handling/dust collection system communicating with a spark source. A controlled flow of air carries sparks from the spark source through the spark suppression device. Sparks are suppressed by turbulence created in the airstream from the blades that have a downstream curvature. The turbulence strips away a hot air bubble surrounding a spark ember, thereby effectively cooling the spark and significantly reducing combustion at the spark ember. Other attributes of the invention contributing to spark suppression include an overlapping arrangement of the blades that results in high-velocity impact of the sparks against the blades, thereby breaking up the spark embers into smaller embers, and creation of rapid increased pressure within the spark suppression device that also helps to strip away the spark ember from the surrounding hot air bubble.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2005Publication date: August 24, 2006Inventors: Ross Lindgren, William Irvine
