  • Patent number: 9565798
Abstract: An agricultural product flow sensor and a flow sensor system for delivery tubes in an air seeder is provided. The flow sensor can include a particulate material sensor for sensing agricultural product passing through a delivery tub, a radio node for transmitting and receiving wireless signals and a wireless power source. The sensor system can use the flow sensors by attaching the flow sensors inline with delivery tubes and near a working tool. The flow sensors can monitor the flow of agricultural product through the delivery tube and transmit flow information to a person operating the air seeder.

  • Patent number: 7219770
Abstract: A coordinated lift system with user selectable RF channels coordinates the raising and lowering of a vehicle relative to a surface by using wireless communications. The lift system includes at least two lift mechanisms each having support frame, including a post, a carriage, an actuating device, and a control device with a channel selector switch. The carriage is slidably mounted on the post and is configured to support a portion of the vehicle. The actuating device is engaged between the support frame and the carriage and is activated to move the carriage relative to the post. The control device is interfaced with the actuating device and includes an RF transceiver to enable communication by RF signals with the other control device. The channel on which the transceiver operates is user selectable in the field. A rechargeable battery may provide power to the control device to allow for increased mobility of the lift system.

  • Patent number: 6186001
Abstract: A container level sensor is disclosed comprising an elongate strip member for mounting in a container in a generally upright orientation. The strip member has a measurable capacitance that changes as the level of material stored in the container changes. Two insulated conductive strips, held apart by magnetic forces or resilient spacers, can be used to form a capacitor, with the force of material in the container against the sensor pushing the strips together and thereby changing the capacitance. This change can be measured by a circuit.

  • Patent number: 6170607
Abstract: A warning system for an aerial device which provides an alarm signal when a worker on an aerial work platform is exposed to an electrical hazard. The aerial device has an insulated boom which carries the work platform on its upper end. An electrostatic charge is introduced to all conductive components near the platform. The electrostatic charge is harmless to the worker and dissipates upon contact with an energized power line or grounded object. The absence of charge is then sensed by a warning device which provides an alarm signal.

  • Patent number: 5475369
Abstract: This pet sounding device contains all insulating major components so as to be non-conductive upon use or pet contact. The device has two attached rectangular plates connected on only one end. In between these plates is sandwiched a wireless transmitter that can be activated upon contact by the pet with one of the plate components. The transmitter is in wireless contact with a sound receiver which will emit a sound, chimes or voice upon being activated by the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 4178952
Abstract: An inertial trip valve actuated by vibration to close gas lines and the like in the event of earthquake for safety. Said valve is provided with an external reset. Said reset cannot be used to defeat the operation of the device by tying the reset handle because the reset action momentarily closes the valve. The valve comprises an inlet flapper valve and an outlet shear valve. Said flapper valve is closed under a spring load when an inertial trigger is tripped. Said flapper valve may be reset by an external handle which closes a shear valve during the reset operation thus preventing the defeat of the trigger operation.

  • Patent number: 4051875
Abstract: A wrapping bit for insulated conductor wire includes a transverse end face having a shelf projecting from the surface of the end face adjacent the longitudinal wire receiving groove. An insulation slitting knife edge is formed on the shelf and extends along the surface of the shelf in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the wrapping bit. A conductor guide channel intersects the wire receiving groove for guiding the insulated conductor onto the shelf and over the knife edge for slitting the conductor insulation longitudinally and just prior to wrapping the wire onto a terminal.
