  • Patent number: 11911623
Abstract: A method, system and device for implanting an electrode assembly of an implantable medical device in a patient's heart. Positioning one or more radiopaque markers in a coronary sinus of the patient's heart. Positioning, by using the one or more positioned radiopaque markers as a fluoroscopic visual reference, a distal tip of a delivery catheter within a right atrium of the patient's heart so that a distal opening of a lumen of the catheter is against a septal wall of the heart at a location between the ostium of the coronary sinus and the A-V nodal area of the right atrium, and so that the tip of the catheter is generally directed toward a left ventricle of the patient's heart. Advancing the electrode assembly through the lumen of the catheter and into the septal wall.

  • Patent number: 6064558
Abstract: A electrical surge protector includes a metal tube having a pair of non-conductive stoppers mounted within each end to form an enclosed cavity therebetween. A conductor wire extends the length of the tube along the axis of the tube and projects through the stoppers. Electrically conductive filings are disposed loosely within the cavity and are of a sufficient quantity to form an electrical bridge between the tube and conductor upon the occurrence of a voltage difference of a predetermined magnitude between the tube and conductor wire. The tube is serially connected to one conductor of a two conductor cable, and the conductor wire is connected to the second conductor of the two conductor cable, such that electrical signals will pass therethrough along each conductor of the two conductor cable. A shunt wire is electrically connected between the tube and earth ground, to shunt any electrical surges and equalize the voltages between the tube and conductor wire.

  • Patent number: 5973898
Abstract: The detector for a ground potential rise event includes a first transistor with a first antenna connected to the base collector junction of the transistor, and a second antenna connected to the transistor such that any imbalance of electrostatic charge density existing in the antenna is equalized across the base collector junction of the first transistor. The first and second antennae are vertically polarized, with the second antenna extending downwardly into contact with the ground surface. A second transistor is connected to the first transistor to form an oscillator circuit with the second transistor connected as a reverse biased avalanche transistor to momentarily discharge a capacitor. A transmitter is connected to a power supply and a relay and to the second transistor, to periodically transmit a signal upon closing of the relay by virtue of oscillation of the oscillator circuit.

  • Patent number: 4152287
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for the preparation of radioactive wastes in a low leachability form by calcining the radioactive waste on a fluidized bed of glass frit, removing the calcined waste to melter to form a homogeneous melt of the glass and the calcined waste, and then solidifying the melt to encapsulate the radioactive calcine in a glass matrix.

  • Patent number: 4065400
Abstract: High level liquid waste solidification is achieved on a continuous basis by atomizing the liquid waste and introducing the atomized liquid waste into a reaction chamber including a fluidized, heated inert bed to effect calcination of the atomized waste and removal of the calcined waste by overflow removal and by attrition and elutriation from the reaction chamber, and feeding additional inert bed particles to the fluidized bed to maintain the inert bed composition.
