  • Publication number: 20180030417
Abstract: A method of preparing a vaccine for immunization against a herpes virus comprising the steps of one of deleting, substituting, or modifying a UL148 gene and interfering with or modifying an expression of the UL148 gene. Wherefore, it is an object of the present invention to overcome the above mentioned shortcomings and drawbacks associated with the prior art The inventors observed that less extensively passaged HCMV strains that retain expression of gH/gL/UL128-131 can efficiently infect epithelial and endothelial cells.

  • Patent number: 6709811
Abstract: A method for detecting broad spectrum of murine leukemia viruses belonging to any or all of the ecotropic, xenotropic, polytropic and amphotropic groups, has been described. The method utilizes a monoclonal antibody designated 83A25 which identifies almost all classes or groups of the murine leukemia virus with only a few exceptions.

  • Patent number: 6403300
Abstract: The present invention relates to Friend murine leukemia virus (F-MuLV) specific monoclonal antibodies, or binding fragments thereof, specific for an antigenic determinant of a gp85 envelope precursor protein characteristic of a methanol-fixed F-MuLV infected cell. The invention also relates to hybridomas resulting from the fusion of myeloma cells and spleen cells, which hybridomas produce a Friend murine leukemia virus (F-MuLV) specific monoclonal antibody specific for an antigenic determinant of a gp85 envelope precursor protein characteristic of a methanol-fixed F-MuLV infected cell. The invention further relates to kits containing the above-described monoclonal antibodies.

  • Patent number: 4754898
Abstract: A dual orifice dispensing closure comprises a body with first and second orifices therein, the orifices being of different sizes. Lid members are hinged to the body such that plugs on the lids may be selectively positioned in or removed from orifices in the closure. A hook-shaped tab provides an interengagement between the lid members so that raising the lid member to uncover the larger of the plugged orifices will at the same time lift the other lid member which has a plug closing the smaller orifice. Accordingly, both orifices are open so that the smaller orifice can providing a venting function upon dispensing of liquid from the larger orifice.

  • Patent number: 4741459
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus is disclosed having a hollow wall member closed at one end with a dispensing opening at the other end. A ledge is mounted within the hollow having an aperture therethrough to permit precise pouring through the aperture but with the opening otherwise permitting dispensing of large amounts. Indicia is provided within the hollow to measure a predetermined amount of material, particularly the amount required for a washload within an automatic washing machine. The dispensing apparatus additionally operates as a closure for a container, preferably of a laundry product and has a skirt for matingly engaging a container opening and closing same.
