  • Patent number: 7798845
Abstract: A safety plug assembly includes an electrical cord having a first end and a second end. The first end is electrically couplable to an electrically powered device. The second end comprises a male plug extendable into an electrical outlet. The electrical cord has a break therein to define a first section and a second section each having a free end. A first mating member and a second mating member are releasably connectable together to close an electrical circuit. Each of the free ends has one of the first and second mating members attached thereto. Each of the first and second mating members includes a male prong and a female receiver. The male prong of the first mating member is extendable in the female receiver of the second mating member and the male prong of the second mating member is extendable in the female receiver of the first mating member.

  • Patent number: 5607012
Abstract: An automotive condenser (10) includes spaced manifold assemblies (18) comprised of semicylindrical tanks (20), matching semicylindrical headers (22) and simple, circular disks (38) serving as manifold separators. The disks (38) are sandwiched between the tank (20) and header (22) with no need for orientation, and with no slots or through notches to pierce the surface of the tank (20) or header (22). The disks (38) sit within matching pairs of common diameter grooves (30, 36) which provide complete, continuous pockets therefore.

  • Patent number: 5195579
Abstract: A locking heat exchanger apparatus includes a pair of longitudinal tank units each establishing a fluid chamber therein and formed of separate headers and tanks. A core comprising parallel tube passes and air centers therebetween is connected between the tank units in fluid communication with the fluid chambers. The headers and tanks include flanges extending about the periphery thereof having notches therein. A locking bar includes cross arms received within the notches and interconnecting to longitudinal, parallel bars which abut the flanges of the tank and header for locking the tank with the header for brazing thereof.

  • Patent number: 5111877
Abstract: A multi tube heat exchanger core in which each tube is made from a pair of substantially identical thin sheet metal plates interfitted in a face to face relationship. Each plate has a pair of enlarged protuberances projecting side by side from the upper side surfaces thereof to form tank portions which are adapted to receive the heat exchanger fluid after the plates are built up into a core. The paired plates forming the tubes are mechanically and accurately aligned at their lower side ends by interfitting locking arms and arm receiving slots. To precisely space the tubes from one another so that air centers can be readily installed therebetween, the lower ends of the plates are formed with tube spacing flanges bent perpendicular to the plane of the plate that interlock with one another by tabs and notches.

  • Patent number: 4823781
Abstract: A method and apparatus to percutaneously reduce a bone fracture and to maintain reduction during percutaneous, limited open, or open fixation of the fracture. The apparatus comprises a movable part threadably engaged with a fixed part. The fixed part of the apparatus attaches to a rigid frame surrounding the site of the fracture. A surgical pin is threaded into a bone fragment and secured to the moveable part of the apparatus. Additional pins are threaded into the bone and rigidly secured to the frame. The apparatus allows controlled axial movement of the pin relative to the frame. A medical procedure employs this apparatus to accurately reduce a fracture percutaneously while percutaneous or limited open fixation is performed.
