  • Patent number: 5217212
Abstract: A shock absorber having a tubular body member provided with an accumulator chamber in one end thereof, and an axially aligned piston chamber in the other end thereof. A combination piston and piston rod member is telescopically mounted in the piston chamber. A check valve assembly is mounted in the tubular body member, which permits a metered flow of shock absorber oil from the piston chamber into the accumulator chamber when the combination piston and piston rod member is moved in an inward direction in the tubular body member, and which allows a free flow of the oil from the accumulator chamber when the combination piston and piston rod member is moved in an outward direction in the tubular body member.

  • Patent number: 4834337
Abstract: A solenoid operated poppet valve having an armature carrying a poppet valve seal which seats on a poppet valve seat on a movable poppet valve seat member, and the poppet valve seat member is axially adjustable for adjusting the stroke of the solenoid armature to adjust the solenoid wattage required for moving the armature through its operating stroke.

  • Patent number: 4821774
Abstract: A balanced solenoid operated valve having a balanced solenoid armature, with balancing means in the upper end of the armature, and the valve can be made as a two-way valve, a three-way valve or a four-way valve.

  • Patent number: 4598736
Abstract: A balanced solenoid operated valve having a balanced solenoid plunger, and the valve can be made as a three-way valve or a four-way valve. In the four-way valve embodiment the solenoid plunger balancing means also functions as a sliding spool valve for controlling the flow of fluid through the valve between two valve ports. The four-way valve can be made with a valve body comprising an upper member and a lower member, and wherein the lower member can be adjusted relative to the upper member to vary the locations of the valve ports relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 4587991
Abstract: A reversing fluid flow control valve with a valve base having an elongated longitudinal cavity open along the top side thereof. Said valve base having inlet, cylinder and exhaust ports connected to inlet cylinder and exhaust passages. A valve spool body removably mounted on the valve base and having a shape on the lower side thereof complimentary with the shape in the valve base so that fluid passing through the valve and between said ports flows in a uniplanar manner.

  • Patent number: 4548238
Abstract: A reversing, four-way, two position fluid directional control valve having a valve body with an enclosed chamber therein and at least two oppositely disposed sides. Two outlet ports are formed through one of the two sides, and they communicate with the chamber, and an inlet port is formed through the other of the two sides and it communicates with the chamber. At least one exhaust or fluid return port communicates the chamber to the exterior of the valve body. A slider valve element means is mounted in the chamber and it is movable between two operating positions, for providing a straight through fluid flow path through the valve body, from the inlet port to a selected one of the outlet ports. The outlet ports exhaust through the chamber and at least one exhaust or fluid return port.

  • Patent number: 4526202
Abstract: A reversing, fluid directional control valve having a valve body with an enclosed exhaust chamber therein and at least two oppositely disposed sides. One, or two outlet ports are formed through one of the two sides, and they communicate with the chamber, and an inlet port is formed through the other of the two sides and it communicates with the exhaust chamber. At least one exhaust port communicates the exhaust chamber to the exterior of the valve body. A conduit valve means is mounted in the exhaust chamber and has one end connected to the inlet port, with the other end being movable and provided with a slider valve element movable between two operating positions, either between the two outlet ports, or between an inlet port and a flow blocked position, for providing a straight through fluid flow path through the valve body, from the inlet port to at least one of the outlet ports. The outlet port or ports exhaust through the exhaust chamber to the exhaust port.

  • Patent number: 3975007
Abstract: A noise-preventing shock absorber adapted to suppress noise and absorb shock created by moving objects such as moving machine parts engaging mating surfaces and decelerating to zero velocity within a short stroke or travel distance. The shock absorber includes a unitary resilient member which is annularly shaped in plan view and provided with an axial opening, with the peripheral surface of the axial opening comprising an inner force-transmitting surface that is formed with a wavelike configuration in vertical cross section. An upper force-receiving shaft is disposed in the resilient member axial opening and has an exterior peripheral surface which is provided with a wavelike configuration in vertical cross section that mates with and is bonded to the wavelike inner force-transmitting surface of the resilient member.
