  • Patent number: 9293029
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring sensors belonging to multiple organizations, detecting an emergency condition based on sensor information, associating a location with the detected emergency condition and then sending an emergency condition report to an authorized recipient. Sensor configuration data is either entered automatically using a sensor discovery engine or entered by a system administrator. The system monitors sensor information using a database-driven rules engine and reports emergency conditions to authorized recipients using a database-driven rules engine. The emergency condition report includes sensor information for sensors that are proximally located to the detected emergency condition.

  • Publication number: 20160029196
Abstract: A method for routing emergency services calls from a subscriber's fixed wireless terminal to a PSAP that serves the location of the subscriber and for delivering traditional landline ALI information associated with the subscriber to the PSAP. The method includes: (a) querying a subscriber database using the subscriber's calling party identifier, wherein the calling party identifier is one or more of an MSISDN, MDN, Calling Party Address or ANI; (b) determining that the subscriber is associated with a fixed wireless terminal; (c) assigning the subscriber's MSISDN as the calling party identifier; (d) assigning Selective Router routing information, wherein the routing information comprises trunk select digits or an ESRN; (e) routing the emergency services call using the assigned Selective Router routing information to the Selective Router and including the MSISDN as the calling party number; and (f) delivering the emergency services call to the PSAP including an ESN assigned to the MSISDN.

  • Patent number: 8913982
Abstract: A system for effecting special treatment of emergency calls originating from a temporarily designated region; emergency calls originating from the region ordinarily being routed to a first emergency answering position. The system includes: (a) a geographic mapper; (b) a polygon manager coupled with the geographic mapper; at least one of the geographic mapper and the polygon manager unit being coupled with an emergency network handling the emergency calls; the polygon manager and the geographic mapper cooperating to effect designation of the region; and (c) a call routing unit coupled with the emergency network and coupled with at least one of the geographic mapper and the polygon manager. The call routing unit provides alternate call routing of the emergency calls originating in the region substantially while the region is designated to at least one other emergency answering position than the first emergency answering position.

  • Patent number: 8761798
Abstract: A system for hosting location based services for at least one mobile unit operating among a plurality of mobile networks includes: a location services managing unit coupled with the plurality of mobile networks and with at least one position determination entity. The location services managing unit receives at least one location service request in at least one communication from a respective mobile unit of the at least one mobile unit. The location services managing unit treats a respective location service request of the at least one location service request to ascertain predetermined parameters relating to the respective mobile unit. The location services managing unit employs the predetermined parameters to effect presenting the respective location service request to an appropriate respective position determination entity of the at least one position determination entity for responding to the respective location service request.
