  • Patent number: 9562722
Abstract: A manifold assembly includes a first channel, a second channel and a manifold. The first channel has a first flow profile and a manifold end with a first cross-sectional geometry. The second channel has a second flow profile and a manifold end with a second cross-sectional geometry, which may be different than the first cross-sectional geometry. A first channel port of the manifold is configured to mate with the manifold end of the first channel. A second channel port of the manifold is configured to mate with the manifold end of the second channel.

  • Patent number: 8230694
Abstract: A refrigeration circuit having a system charge and a system charge storage area. The system charge area has a condenser having a set of micro-channel heat exchanger coils. The condenser is appropriately sized to receive a first volume of the system charge. There is a compressor for compressing the system charge from an expanded state to a compressed state. There is a sealed refrigerant charge holding area fluidly connected to the condenser and the compressor. The sealed refrigerant charge holding area is appropriately sized for storing a second volume of the system charge during a system pumpdown. A receiver is fluidly connected to the sealed refrigerant charge holding area. The receiver is appropriately sized to receive a third volume of the system charge during a system pumpdown.

  • Publication number: 20120000635
Abstract: A manifold assembly for distributing a fluid to a heat exchanger, and a method for producing the same, is provided. The manifold assembly includes a plurality of channels and a manifold. The plurality of channels includes one or more first channels and one or more second channels. The first channels each have a first flow profile and a manifold end with a first cross-sectional geometry. The second channels each have a second flow profile and a manifold end with a second cross-sectional geometry. The first cross-sectional geometry is different from the second cross-sectional geometry. The manifold has an inner cavity, an inlet port, one or more first channel ports, and one or more second channel ports. The first channel ports are each configured to mate with the manifold end of a first channel. The second channel ports are each configured to mate with the manifold end of a second channel.

  • Patent number: 6763677
Abstract: A refrigeration container is provided with a manually operated fresh air vent with a position sensor which provides a signal to the microprocessor based controller indicative of the position of the fresh air vent. The fresh air vent controls both the providing of fresh air to the circulating air in the container and the exhausting a portion of the circulating air. The evaporator fan is run continuously when the air vent is open to prevent the build up of gases produced by the perishable cargo.
