  • Publication number: 20090241428
Abstract: Door sill frame assemblies and sliding door assemblies comprising the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a sill frame assembly for a sliding door includes a first engaging surface capable of attaching with a sliding door and allowing lateral reciprocating motion of the sliding door and a second engaging surface, wherein along at least a first portion of the second engaging surface is attached a sill member and wherein along at least a second portion of the second engaging surface is attached a fixed-panel door, wherein the sill member includes a channel having a weather-strip extending upward from the channel, the weather-strip having a first open state for substantially preventing water and air intrusion past the sliding door when the sliding door is in a closed position and a second compact state for allowing accessibility of a wheelchair through an opening when the sliding door is in an open position.

  • Patent number: 5456698
Abstract: An enclosure for use in pacemaker as well as other implantable medical devices has a substantially planar lid which is welded to a circumferential flange formed on a deep drawn shield. The shield and lid form a "container" which is encased in a compliant shroud which isolates the welded flange from direct body contact and which enhances the biocompatibility of the entire device. A resilient and compliant shroud material accepts connector module components, integrates seals, provides storage for lead wrap, and provides a simple low cost and reliable method of attaching stimulating leads or other structures required by the medical device.

  • Patent number: 5080096
Abstract: A method and apparatus for accessing a nonvolatile electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM) following hermetic closure of a device containing the EEPROM. The EEPROM is accessed by a direct connection to a feedthrough pin extending through the hermetic enclosure. Following hermetic sealing, the memory is still accessible for programming. In the implantable medical device field, the invention may be utilized to program in the device serial number or similar data which may be telemetered out of the device on command of an external programmer/transciever in order to identify the device. In a specific application, a rate responsive pacemaker, an activity sensor mounted within the hermetically sealed enclosure is electrically connected to the EEPROM and other operating circuitry.

  • Patent number: 4920717
Abstract: An ornamental handrail assembly is disclosed which provides an improved base assembly for mounting the glass panels such that the panels are easily leveled without removing the panels from the base assembly. The mounting arrangement necessitates fewer parts and requires less labor to set and adjust the panels. In another aspect, the ornamental handrail system includes a cap rail member which is secured to the upper edge of the glass panels quickly and easily and without the need for adhesives or separate fasteners.
