  • Publication number: 20240068157
Abstract: Protective garments are disclosed having fabric treated with a water resistant treatment. The water resistant treatment includes a combination of a water resistant concentrate and a solvent. In accordance with the present disclosure, the water resistant treatment is substantially free of fluorocarbon chemicals and yet provides not only excellent water resistance, but also excellent breathability and comfort. The water resistant treatment may be particularly applicable for use in reapplications.

  • Patent number: 11840179
Abstract: A Camera/lens mounting platform (also referred to hereafter as the “platform”) for attachment to the window opening in a vehicle door is described. The platform is configurable to clamp to the doors of many, if not most, passenger cars and light duty trucks when a door's window is fully or nearly fully retracted. The platform offers a firm connection to the vehicle door and high stability to minimize blurring of photos and video.

  • Patent number: 7189892
Abstract: The present invention provides a polynucleotide sequence encoding a component of the protein machinery involved in small RNA trafficking, Cucurbita maxima phloem small RNA-binding protein (CmPSRB 1), and the corresponding polypeptide sequence. The invention also provides genetic constructs and transgenic plants comprising the polynucleotide sequence encoding a phloem small RNA-binding protein to alter (e.g., prevent, reduce or elevate) non-cell autonomous signaling events in the plants involving small RNA metabolism. These signaling events are involved in a broad spectrum of plant physiological and biochemical processes, including, for example, systemic resistance to pathogens, responses to environmental stresses, e.g., heat, drought, salinity, and systemic gene silencing (e.g., viral infections).

  • Patent number: 6407313
Abstract: Methods and mechanisms for regulation of macromolecular transport between cells in plasmodesmatal communication with one another are disclosed. Nuclear acids encoding tobacco mosaic virus movement protein (TMV-MP) in wild type and mutant forms is shown and used to affect plant size, carbon metabolism and biomass partitioning in transgeric plants.

  • Patent number: 4138125
Abstract: The lower side of a piston ring slants downwardly in an outwardly direction at an acute angle to its upper side that is perpendicular to the wall of the piston. Spacings along the upper side and inward side of the ring permits conduction of gas for pressing downwardly and outwardly, respectively. According to the principle of an inclined plane, force downwardly on the lower inclined surface provides an outward component to act with the pressure at the inward side of the ring and with moderate expansive tension to counteract inward force from pressure on the outer surface of the ring.
