  • Patent number: 11128466
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are described providing social networking engines. Specifically, the present specification relates to a method for implementing software containers implementing social network engines that may be configured to act in a zero-knowledge environment. In such implementations, all information pertaining to the social network engine associated with a user that is stored in the container is solely that of a user unless explicitly shared by the user. In some implementations, the containers may be configured to participate in a publish-and-subscribe network in order to share information. In addition, the containers may be provisioned with controls so that global operators may comply with local privacy rules.

  • Patent number: 11042950
Abstract: In some implementations, techniques are described for automatically providing service/maintenance-related content to a resident of a property in response to receiving a service request from the resident. Data indicating a service request submitted by a computing device of a user is initially obtained. The service request identifies a property associated with the computing device. Contents of the service request are processed. A service topics indicated by the service request and a request type of the service request are identified based on processing the contents of the service request. Content is selected among a collection of content for the property based on the identified service topic and the identified request type. A communication that includes the communications is provided for output on the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210025744
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for metering water are disclosed. In some implementations, audio energy corresponding to a flow of material in a pipe that meets a threshold audio energy is detected using a sensor of a batter-operated device connected to the pipe. One or more components of the battery-operated device are activated in response to detecting the audio energy that meets the threshold audio energy. Audio data corresponding to the flow of material in the pipe is collected using the sensor in response to detecting the audio energy that meets the threshold audio energy. The audio data is analyzed using a processing component of the batter-operated device to determine one or more events. An indication of the one or more events is transmitted to an external computing system in response to determining the one or more events.

  • Publication number: 20200410798
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for managing geospatial boundaries. In some implementations, an identification of a user is scanned. Based on the scan, information corresponding to the user is retrieved. The user is then registered using the retrieved information corresponding to the user. Location data is obtained. A determination is made that the user is proximate to a geographic boundary. The location data and at least a portion of the information corresponding to the user is transmitted to an access control system.

  • Patent number: 10846958
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a virtual intercom. In some implementations, a request from a visitor device to communicate with an occupant of a particular unit of the facility is received. A location of the visitor device is received. Based on the received location, it is determined that the visitor device is within a predetermined bounded area. An occupant profile is identified based on the received request. Information associated with the occupant profile is obtained. Based on the obtained information, it is determined the occupant has registered a profile. Based on the obtained information, a communication path to an occupant device is identified. The request from the visitor device is sent, using the communication path, to an occupant device belonging to the occupant. A response from the occupant device is received. Based on the response, an action is performed.

  • Publication number: 20200084480
Abstract: A system disclosed within this document is capable of improving performance in virtual computing environments, e.g., by reducing latency associated with streaming video data between a client device and an associated server system over a network. As discussed in detail below, such performance improvements can be achieved using techniques that avoid, reduce and/or overlap operations that are executed by the server system in order to render, encode, and/or transmit video data to a client device over a network. Such techniques can be used to reduce propagation and/or processing delays imposed by, for example, the server system's CPU operations, input/output (I/O), infrastructure, NIC, OS processes, among other types of hardware and software-based overheads. In various implementations, the performance enhancements can be realized at the rendering, encoding, or transmission operations performed by the server system.

  • Patent number: 10586221
Abstract: Access to a content selection may be regulated by accessing a medium associated with the content selection, identifying a profile associated with the medium, using the profile to analyze a content request with a multitiered rule base that includes two or more of a medium rule base, a media player rule base, and a host rule base, and enabling access to the content selection in accordance with one or more results of the analysis.

  • Publication number: 20190390989
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for metering water are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a first meter that is connected to a first pipe, first audio data collected during a time period and first temperature data collected during the time period. The actions further include receiving, from a second meter that is connected to a second pipe, second audio data collected during the time period and second temperature data collected during the time period. The actions further include, based on the first audio data, the first temperature data, the second audio data, and the second temperature data, determining a first amount of material that has flowed through the first pipe during the time period relative to a second amount of material that has flowed through the second pipe.
