  • Patent number: 11940969
Abstract: Described are techniques for managing data locations of derived storage objects. The techniques include accessing a primary metadata tree providing a lookup path using a virtual address to locate data for a primary object in physical storage pointed to by a leaf node of the primary metadata tree and providing a sub-tree from a leaf node of the primary metadata tree associated with the primary object, the sub-tree providing lookup paths using virtual addresses for derived objects. Wherein a derived object is a view of the primary object at a specific point in time, with copy leaf nodes of the sub-tree pointing to stored data of the derived objects. The techniques further include maintaining an ancestry graph associated with the sub-tree with the ancestry graph linking derived object identifiers to provide an ancestral chain lookup to identify derived object identifiers of the closest stored physical data of a derived object.

  • Patent number: 11917259
Abstract: A Data Over Cable Interface Specification (DOCSIS) node includes a first DOCSIS port and a second DOCSIS port. The node also includes a plurality of radio frequency (RF) ports. A plurality of client devices can be coupled to the RF ports. A RF switching network is coupled between the first DOCSIS port and the second DOCSIS port, and the plurality of RF ports. One or more control circuits can switch the RF switching network between at least a first state and a second state. The switching of the RF switching network allows the one or more control circuits to identify which client devices are coupled to which RF ports of the node.

  • Patent number: 5094500
Abstract: A motorized golf cart having a double wall thermoformed canopy fixedly connected to and supported over a chassis. The canopy has a bottom wall with fastener holes passing therethrough. A frame is provided to support the canopy having a front generally rectangular member and a rear inverted U-shaped member with apertures for passage of bolts therethrough. Blind fasteners are positioned in the bottom wall fastener holes and bolts passed through the frame apertures and into the blind fasteners to securely mount the canopy to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4989308
Abstract: A roof seaming machine has symmetrically arranged forming rolls and a reversible permanent magnet motor for operation of the machine in either a forward or reverse direction. Adjustable linkage connects the forming rolls with an articulated handle for moving the forming rolls relative to a drive wheel which propels the machine and which is adapted to be disposed on the opposite of a seam from the forming rolls. A reversible switch is connected to energize and deenergize the motor, and a directional switch safety guard is associated with the switch to limit its movement between an "off" position and either one of two "on" positions, depending upon the positioning of the guard.

  • Patent number: 4858617
Abstract: A compact and economical probe unit has projecting electrodes for sensing minute voltage variations at spaced apart locations on a persons skin or other surface. Internal circuits generate serial form digital signals indicative of the voltage variations for transmission to a personal computer where an electrocardiogram or other data presentation may be displayed. The probe includes a digital type of optical isolator through which the serial signals are transmitted, the output circuit of the isolator being energized by voltage taken from the computer and the input circuit being independently energized from a battery within the probe and thus there is no electrically conductive path between the computer and the electrodes. Among other uses, the probe enables unskilled persons to monitor their own heart activity as it is economical, safe and easily operated and makes use of a common computer for display rather than a costly electrocardiograph.

  • Patent number: 4418684
Abstract: The amount of building heating, cooling and daylighting is controlled by at least one pair of solar energy passing panels, with each panel of the pair of panels being exposed to a separate direction of sun incidence. A shutter-shade combination is associated with each pair of panels and the shutter is connected to the shade so that rectilinear movement of the shutter causes pivotal movement of the shade.

  • Patent number: 4055326
Abstract: A needle valve member for a control device having a passage provided with a valve seat for fuel flow therethrough, the needle valve member being adapted to cooperate with the valve seat for controlling the fuel flow therethrough while providing a minimum controlled fuel flow through the valve seat when the needle valve member is fully seated against the valve seat. The needle valve member comprises a drawn one-piece elongated substantially cup-shaped member having a thin tubular side wall and a thin end wall closing off one end of the tubular side wall, the end wall being adapted to close against the valve seat and having an opening therethrough to cause the minimum flow through the valve seat when the end wall is seated against the valve seat.
