In one embodiment, the device comprises a one-piece housing having inner and outer bottom walls, a rear wall extending upward from the outer bottom wall, and first and second sidewalls. The first sidewall extends upward from the inner bottom wall and is substantially perpendicular to the rear wall. The first sidewall comprises a smooth leading wall, a curved edge, and a trailing straight edge. The second sidewall extends upward from the outer bottom wall and is substantially perpendicular to the rear wall and parallel to the first sidewall. The second sidewall comprises a smooth leading wall, a curved edge, and a trailing straight edge. The smooth leading walls of the first and second sidewalls may be formed by first and second flaps that are folded upon inside surfaces of the first and second sidewalls, respectively.

The kneeler seat comprises first and second leg members each having first and second end portions and a seat engagement portion disposed substantially closer to the first end portion than the second end portion. Each of the seat engagement portion comprise an elongated cavity having upper and lower surfaces and first and second side surfaces. Each of the seat engagement portions further comprises first and second guide and retention channels formed in the upper and lower surfaces of the elongated cavity, respectively. The first and second guide and retention channels are aligned and disposed parallel to and between the first and second sidewalls. The seat member comprises first and second plugs engageable with the seat engagement portions of the first and second leg members, respectively. Each of the first and second plugs comprises a base portion and first and second walls extending outward from said base portion.

In one embodiment, the process of the present invention comprises the steps of positioning the inside hose with the outside hose; inserting first and second pre-mold inserts about the first and second end portions of the inside hose; attaching the first and second connectors to the first and second end portions of the inside hose to form first and second crimped portions, respectively; applying an adhesive to the first and second crimped portions; inserting the first and second crimped portions into the connector inlet portions of the first and second pre-mold inserts, respectively; inserting the drain hose into the drain hose inlet portion of the first pre-mold insert; molding a first end-cap member to the first end portion of the outside hose, the first pre-mold insert, and the drain hose; and molding a second end-cap member to the second end portion of the outside hose and the second pre-mold insert.

    Abstract: A safety hose system for connecting an inlet connector of a washing machine to an outlet connector of a water supply. The safety hose system comprises an inner hose unit engaged with an outside hose unit. The inner hose unit comprises an inner hose having first and second end portions and a first channel to transport the flow of water from the water supply to the washing machine. The inner hose unit further comprises first and second fittings engaged with the first and second end portions of the inner hose. The outside hose unit comprising an outside hose having first and second end portions. The outside hose unit further comprises first and second connectors engaged with the outside hose. The outside hose unit is compressed to provide a positively biased force upon the first and second fittings to provide a sealed channel about the inner hose and to allow the first and second connectors to be engaged with the inlet connector of the washing machine and the outlet connector of the water supply, respectively.

    Abstract: The present invention is a safety hose system for use in delivering water from a water supply source to an inlet connector of a washing machine. In one embodiment, the system comprises a first connector engageable with the inlet connector of the washer machine and a second connector engageable with the water supply source. The system further comprises a first hose having first and seconds end connected to the first and second connectors, respectively. The system further comprises a second hose disposed concentrically and sealed about the first hose and extending from the first connector to the second connector. The system further comprises a sealing material. The first and second ends of the second hose are molded to the first and second connector, respectively, by the sealing material to form an unitary one piece structure. The system may further comprise an over-spill portion formed by said second hose being disposed about the first hose.
