  • Patent number: 5064384
Abstract: A wire-jumper assembly including an electrically insulating base having an insulating layer. A first conductor plate is positioned below said insulating layer, and a second conductor plate is positioned on top of said insulating layer. The conductor plates each include extension contacts directed outwardly from the base. The wire-jumper assembly also includes a pair of terminal lugs connected to said first conductor plate and said second conductor plate, respectively. A lead wire is secured to each of the terminal lugs. An additional cover can be installed on top of the wire-jumper assembly to provide safety from accidental contact.

  • Patent number: 5002452
Abstract: An apparatus is set forth wherein a central, elongate support bar includes a rear pivot pin mounted to a cross frame that is in turn integrally mounted between spaced frame rails of an associated truck. The support bar includes a through-extending aperture adjacent its forwardmost end to receive a pin, wherein the pin is integrally secured to a lower rear flange of the rear bumper of the vehicle. Upon release of the bar relative to the pin, the bar is pivoted downwardly to release the tire slidingly towards an individual subsequent to its being sandwiched between the bar and bottom surface of the truck bed. A modification of the instant invention includes the tire mounted upon a slide to securely maintain the tire in its downwardly sliding position relative to the support bar, and may further include an air cylinder to dampen dropping of the bar upon release relative to the pin.

  • Patent number: 4333737
Abstract: A process is provided for reclaiming materials from photoflash cartridges ich are comprised of aluminum, barium nitrate and potassium perchlorate. The photoflash composition is dumped into heated water to dissolve barium nitrate and potassium perchlorate and the solution is then filtered to remove aluminum. Then the solution is cooled to precipitate the barium nitrate and the potassium perchlorate and the precipitated salts are then removed by filtering.

  • Patent number: 4163682
Abstract: A method for disposing of a pyrotechnic composition comprised of red phosrus, manganese dioxide, magnesium, zinc oxide and linseed oil, with at least fifty percent of the composition being red phosphorus. The composition is burned in a first enclosed chamber and the products of combustion are drawn into a second enclosed chamber and burned. The product gases from the second enclosed chamber are sprayed with water to form phosphoric acid which is collected. The ashes in the first enclosed chamber are sprayed with water to produce phosphine which is burned in the first enclosed chamber and the residue is an inert ash.
