Abstract: In an example implementation, a system including a computer including a processor and a memory. The memory includes instructions such that the processor is programmed to convert G-code to G-node data, generate a plurality of windows based on G-node segments, calculate an average velocity based on the plurality of windows, where the velocity corresponds to a 3D printer head. The processor is also programmed to determine a temperature corresponding to the average velocity, and insert a G-code heat command into a G-code command file based on the determined temperature. The processor can be further programmed to insert a pre-heat G-code command into the G-code command file.
