Publication number: 20250021125Abstract: Examples provide a brake pedal assembly including a pedal housing, a bracket for securement within a vehicle, and a pedal arm having a proximal portion pivotally supported by the pedal housing and a distal portion including a foot pad spaced from the bracket. The pedal arm pivots from an unactuated position to a fully actuated position in response to application of a force to the foot pad. A pedal emulator system provides variable operator feedback as the pedal arm pivots in response to the application of force. The pedal emulator system includes a first spring set engaged with the pedal arm at the unactuated position and operable to bias the pedal arm toward the unactuated position, and a second spring set engaged with the pedal arm only after the pedal arm pivots from the unactuated position to a first intercept position between the unactuated and fully actuated positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2023Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventors: Ryan Andrew Wagner, John Clark, David A. Patent number: 10380193Abstract: Architecture that computes a definitive answer to a user's top intent of a search query, and positions the top intent answer in a prominent way and at a prominent location of a results page or other search user interface, where the user is most likely to see the top intent answer in an expeditious manner. This may be at the top-most position of the page, above the search results and advertisements, but below the page header and search box. Additionally, the definitive and prominently-placed answer can be presented with an interactive, animated, and/or visually rich element that supplements the original intent. The top intent location can be the boldest element on the page, extend at least one full dimension of the page, use larger fonts and bolder colors than the rest of the search results, and which makes finding the answer easier and faster for the user to locate.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2014Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Christina Colcernian, Yinghua Yao, Anh Quynh Ly, Britt H. Patent number: 9558270Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for tagging search results, organizing tagged search results for later access from various devices, public sharing of tagged search results, and/or providing targeted content based upon search results tagged by a user. That is, a user may tag a search result (e.g., a website, an image, a social network profile, etc.), such as through a one-click user input, with a tag to create a tagged search result. The tagged search result may be organized into a public tag collection for sharing and/or exploration of tagged search results by other users. The tagged search result may be organized into a personal tag collection for later access by the user from any device. Because the tagged search result may be indicative of an interest of the user, targeted content associated with the tagged search result may be provided to the user.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Anthony Adam Hanses, Sarthak Deepak Shah, Lawrence Brian Ripsher, Marguerite R. Patent number: 5921197Abstract: A keel system for an inflatable kayak which is a one-piece plate of plastic material defining a pressure plate at an upper end, a skeg at a lower end and an attachment portion therebetween. The attachment portion includes upper and lower engaging elements to cooperate with the web and a grommet of a typical inflatable kayak to lock the structure at the stern. A similar device with a keel strip extending rearwardly under the hull is provided at the bow of the kayak. A rudder may be pivotally mounted to the aft edge of a skeg and stern post portion and in turn receive an outboard motor. Locking plate may be extended perpendicularly across the tops of the pressure plates to cooperate with the gunwales and spray cover of the kayak.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1998Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Inventor: William James Wagner
