  • Patent number: 8386241
Abstract: A system and method for automated dictionary population is provided to facilitate the entry of textual material in dictionaries for enhancing word prediction. The automated dictionary population system is useful in association with a mobile device including at least one dictionary which includes entries. The device receives a communication which is parsed and textual data extracted. The text is compared to the entries of the dictionaries to identify new words. Statistical information for the parsed words, including word usage frequency, recency, or likelihood of use, is generated. Profanities may be processed by identifying profanities, modifying the profanities, and asking the user to provide feedback. Phrases are identified by phrase markers. Lastly, the new words are stored in a supplementary word list as single words or by linking the words of the identified phrases to preserve any phrase relationships. Likewise, the statistical information may be stored.

  • Publication number: 20130036380
Abstract: A user interface element of a graphical user interface (GUI) presents user-selectable visual representations of views of an application. The current state of each view is stored, allowing a user to select a view for display by selecting a visual representation of the view from the user interface element. In some implementations, groups of visual representations of related views are presented in the user interface element in compressed or expanded display formats, depending on whether a member of the group corresponds to a currently selected view. In some implementations, a user can select a compressed group of visual representations, causing the visual representations to be expanded even if a member of the group does not correspond to the currently selected view. In some implementations, the group can be visually augmented to indicate the status of the one or more views in the group.

  • Publication number: 20130034386
Abstract: An anchor system including at least one flexible interconnection device. A restraint device is on the at least one flexible interconnection device. The restraint device and the flexible interconnection device form a combination. The anchor system includes a terminal object having an exterior surface and an interior surface that defines a duct for receiving a portion of the flexible interconnection device. The duct has a first end, a second end, and an interior portion. The terminal object includes a metallic-iron-free load-bearing structure that defines a load-bearing surface such that when the flexible interconnection device is positioned through the duct and when a tensional force is applied to the interconnection device, the tensional force urges the combination against the load-bearing surface such that the metallic-iron-free load-bearing structure impedes the combination from traversing the duct in response to the tensional force by bearing the resultant load.

  • Publication number: 20130021078
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for capturing and holding a level of an input signal using a latch circuit that presents a low number of loads to the clock signal. The clock is only coupled to a bridging transistor and a pair of clock-activated pull-down or pull-up transistors. The level of the input signal is propagated to the output signal when the storage sub-circuit is not enabled. The storage sub-circuit is enabled by the bridging transistor and a propagation sub-circuit is activated and deactivated by the pair of clock-activated transistors.

  • Publication number: 20130012207
Abstract: A method and system automatically activates a mobile station in a wireless communications network. The system includes an over the air activation function (OTAF) processor in the network that initiates an activation process in response to receiving a registration message from a mobile switching center serving the mobile station requesting the activation. Each mobile station has a unit of information stored into it at the time of its manufacture to enable it to request over the air activation. That unit of information is either the network routing address of the OTAF processor, or alternately, it is a value that is translatable into that address, either an OTAF ID number that is the same value for every mobile station or it is a sequentially serialized dummy value for the mobile identification number (a dummy MIN).
