  • Patent number: 6110411
Abstract: The present invention relates to a laser sinterable thermoplastic powder having a Tg of less than 50.degree. C.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 1998
Date of Patent: August 29, 2000
Inventors: Christian Henning Clausen, Daniel James Mickish, William John Nebe, Shailaja R. Vaidya
  • Patent number: 5707780
Abstract: A photohardenable composition especially suitable for use in solid imaging. The compositions are characterized by their improved photospeed in combined with excellent initial green strength. The compositions allows for the production of articles by solid imaging processing techniques that show little or no distortion, high accuracy, excellent clarity. The compositions are low in toxicity and have low sensitivity to water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 7, 1996
Date of Patent: January 13, 1998
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: John Alan Lawton, William John Nebe, Glen Anthony Thommes, Jonathan V. Caspar
  • Patent number: 5665792
Abstract: The present invention discloses stabilizers for formulations containing photoacid precursors and cationically polymerizable materials. The stabilizers have a limited solubility in the formulations and are in solubility equilibrium in the formulation. The stabilizers being present as a solid phase in the formulation in excess of their solubility limit, the concentration of the stabilizers is continuously replenished as the stabilizer reacts with undesired free acid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 7, 1995
Date of Patent: September 9, 1997
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: John Alan Lawton, William John Nebe, Glen Anthony Thommes
  • Patent number: 4029505
Abstract: Positive polymer images are produced on substrates having applied thereto a layer of photopolymerizable composition containing (1) a non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound capable of polymerization by free-radical initiated chain propagation, (2) a dinitroso compound which is a noninhibitor of free-radical polymerization and is photochemically converted by ultraviolet radiation to an inhibitor of free-radical polymerization, and (3) a photoactivatable organic free-radical generating system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 20, 1976
Date of Patent: June 14, 1977
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
    Inventor: William John Nebe
  • Patent number: 4009040
Abstract: Polymers containing hexaarylbiimidazole groups depolymerize upon being struck by radiation and are useful in producing positive images. Exemplary is poly[1,10-bis-4'-[5"(2-o-chlorophenyl-4"-phenyl)imidazolyl]phenoxydecane].
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 21, 1975
Date of Patent: February 22, 1977
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
    Inventor: William John Nebe
