  • Patent number: 10850151
Abstract: An aerodynamic drag component for removably placing on a swung athletic implement may comprise a hollow thin-walled body having an outer profile with a width less than its height and a plurality of spaced-apart perforations with concave lips shaped to scoop air from outside the hollow thin-walled body, through the perforations, and into the hollow thin-walled body to increase aerodynamic drag in a first direction, and convex surfaces opposite the concave lips that are shaped to divert air outside the hollow thin-walled body away from the perforations, to reduce airflow into the hollow thin-walled body to reduce aerodynamic drag in a second direction opposite the first direction, to provide varying aerodynamic drag resistance during a swing. The aerodynamic drag component may freely rotate or freely translate or both on a longitudinally-extending portion of the swung athletic implement. Multiple aerodynamic drag components may be used at once.

  • Publication number: 20180221734
Abstract: Provided are various example hand-held golf marker devices that may be constructed to mark the location of a golf ball on a golf course with a liquid mark having a predetermined shape. The liquid mark does not interfere with other golf balls, and dissipates on its own after a short time, such as about two hours. Example designs are provided for creating marks having predetermined shapes, including by providing marking pads having predetermined cross-sectional shapes, and by providing a movable inner cover over the marking pad with an aperture having a predetermined shape. Double-ended devices may be employed. Multi-color kits are described, as well as clips for removably holding the marker devices on the brim of a user's hat, for instance.

  • Patent number: 5905951
Abstract: A system for providing a wireless connection from a cell site to its own operations and maintenance panel (OMP). A new unit is built into a cell site on the radio shelf that includes features of a cellular telephone. Such unit includes a modem so that a laptop or other type of computer may be plugged in. This system operates in a plurality of modes, so that it can communicate with any or all of the wireless telecommunication system types (such as AMPS, TDMA, CDMA), and frequency ranges (i.e, 850 MHz and microwave). While the system is installation, the wireless telephone unit can communicate with another type of wireless system. However, once the system comes on line, the unit can communicate with other cell sites in the area from its own system, thus reducing the cost of maintenance. Furthermore, such a system can be used for informing the OMP of alarms such as an intruder alarm, etc.
