  • Patent number: 8851374
Abstract: A device includes first, second, and third components. The first component scans a coupon. The coupon is moved from the first component to the second component after the first component scans the coupon and the coupon has been validated. The second component holds the coupon and other coupons associated with just the current checkout session until the current session has been successfully completed, at which time the coupons are moved in unison from the second component to the third component. The third component stores these coupons, together with additional coupons associated with other checkout sessions. The first component returns the coupon where validation of the coupon has failed. The second coupon permits a user to retrieve the coupons associated with just the current checkout session where the current checkout session has been unsuccessfully completed, without the user having to look through the coupons associated with the other checkout sessions.

  • Patent number: 4176682
Abstract: A check valve ball stop clip for use in Tee check valves has a U-shaped configuration with an outwardly projecting extension at the top of one of the arms. The Tee valve has a valve seat and a ball in the crossbar at one side of the upright. The stop clip is insertable and removable in a compressed condition through the upright of the Tee valve and is expandable to lock in the inner section of the upright and the crossbar such that one arm of the U holds the ball at the one side while the other arm with the extension holds the stop clip in place.

  • Patent number: 4155374
Abstract: An internal check ball retainer for use in an in line check valve assembly has a M-shape configuration with a rectangular cross section. The in line check valve assembly includes a check valve having a check ball hole connected to a smaller through hole by a ball seat. A check ball is positioned in the check ball hole and is movable against the ball seat to block the through hole. The internal check ball retainer is dispositioned so as to dispose the check ball between the parallel arms of the M-shaped configuration and abuttable with the vertex of the V-shaped portion of the internal check ball retainer. A connector having a through-hole provided therein is threaded into the check ball hole so as to abut the internal check ball retainer and hold it in place while the V-shaped portion of the M prevents the check ball from blocking the through-hole in the connector.
