  • Publication number: 20040101547
Abstract: The present invention is directed to wound dressings that include a substrate for contacting and/or covering a wound, where the substrate includes a wound-contacting surface, and which substrate contains or is fabricated at least in part from a biocompatible, aldehyde-modified, regenerated polysaccharide, preferably a biodegradable polysaccharide, and to methods of providing coverage and protection of a wound, which method includes applying to a wound the wound dressing of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 4682075
Abstract: An image display including a viewing screen comprising spaced elemental image areas and a light-absorbing matrix of partially-graphitized carbon black adjacent these areas. The matrix may be made by overcoating a stencil and stencil support with an aqueous slurry of the carbon black, drying the overcoating, and then removing the stencil and overlying overcoating.

  • Patent number: 4465616
Abstract: A method for obtaining a capacitive information disc record conductive molding composition having a desired melt viscosity wherein the conductive molding composition comprises carbon black and a plastic molding resin. The method comprises the steps of measuring the surface area of the carbon black particles; determining the relationship of the amount by weight of carbon black and the surface area of the carbon black particles to the melt viscosity of the conductive molding composition; and formulating the conductive molding composition by having carbon black present in an amount which is in accord with the relationship for the desired conductive molding composition melt viscosity.
