    Abstract: An expandable breathable laminate is described. The laminate includes a reticulated polymer layer and an fibrous layer. The fibrous layer is chemically treated so as to facilitate transfer of liquid through the fibrous layer and ultimately through the polymer layer via capillary action. The layers are bonded with an adhesive that does not impair the breathability and expandability of the laminate. Thus, removal of perspiration from the skin of the wearer of a garment made from the laminate can be accomplished.
