    Abstract: A method of making a drywall joint includes steps of positioning a flexible butt block that has leg portions and has a recessed surface on an interior side of a joint that is to be formed between a first drywall sheet and a second drywall sheet, securing at least one of the first and second drywall sheets to the flexible butt block so that the secured sheet is made to conform in shape to the recessed surface, thereby forming a secondary recess on an exterior of the drywall sheet in the area at which the joint is to be made, and applying joint compound within the secondary recess.
