  • Publication number: 20110095612
Abstract: This invention pertains to switching and combining more than one AC power supply using an internal controller that has external control and status functions available. The method taught in this invention is to convert all the AC power to DC, and, by varying the individual AC to DC converter output power, their contribution to the total power supplied is controlled, creating the ability to favor one source of electrical power instead of another. This is done under continuous control of a central controller that varies the DC output voltage of the individual AC to DC converter modules. The resulting DC power than goes to one or more invertors for conversion from DC to AC for general load consumption.

  • Publication number: 20100057758
Abstract: Alpha Numeric Media Program Stream Selection uses a method of database lookup and conversion from easily human understood mnemonics to the computer machine level instructions necessary to present the desired programming for various media presentation devices. In one implementation, a portable and usually hand held device with both alphabetic and numeric keys that are available to use to input a user friendly name in alpha-numeric format, which said device then performs a conversion of the information input to send data from the handheld device to a media presentation device that instructs the media presentation device to select the corresponding media stream from several streams available to the media presentation device. In an alternate implementation, the user information would be transmitted from a portable and usually handheld device to the media presentation device without modification and database lookup would occur within the media presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20060161271
Abstract: A two-wire field-mounted process device with multiple isolated channels includes a channel that can be an input channel or an output channel. The given input or output channel can couple to multiple sensors or actuators, respectively. The process device is wholly powered by the two-wire process control loop. The process device includes a controller adapted to measure one or more characteristics of sensors coupled to an input channel and to control actuators coupled to an output channel. The controller can be further adapted to execute a user generated control algorithm relating process input information with process output commands. The process device also includes a loop communicator that is adapted to communicate over the two-wire loop.

  • Publication number: 20060016435
Abstract: A Supplemental Fuel Injector Control Circuit includes a resistor adapted to connected between a voltage output port and an injector control port of an Engine Control Unit. The circuit also includes a diode having a cathode adapted to be connected to the injector control port and an anode adapted to be connected to both an end of a fuel injector coil and to an Auxiliary Fuel Injector Controller. The circuit is operable to allow modification of fuel injector cycle duration while preventing generation of an error code by the Engine Control Unit.

  • Patent number: 4045785
Abstract: In a metal oxide silicon memory device having an array of static memory cells, a sense amplifier for detecting signals produced by the cells connected between complementary bit lines. The amplifier includes a translator section that shifts the normally high bit and bit voltage levels to a lower voltage level at the control gates of signal output devices connected to output bus lines. Each output bus line has only a single device impedance to ground rather than the normally required stacked or series arrangement of control elements. This provides a low impedance to ground for one of the output bus lines whle the signal variation around threshold provides a relatively high impedance to ground on the other bus line, thereby providing fast response times.
