  • Publication number: 20080133290
Abstract: Systems and methods for compiling and presenting physician quality information to consumers are provided. The physician quality information system aggregates data from data sources such as claims data, patient satisfaction data, and public discharge data and computes metrics based on definitions. These metrics can be things such as mortality rate, patient wait time after the scheduled appointment, and whether a physician performed a certain test when a specified set of symptoms were present. The consumer is presented with the physician quality information system through a website. The consumer can enter his or her preferences regarding the physician search into the website and these preferences are used to customize the report that is generated from the information that is computed and complied by the physician quality information system.
