An object is selected from the associated objects as a match for the selected portion of the message. The submitted message is modified to visually distinguish the selected portion of the message as a selectable link to a display related to the selected match. The modified, linked message is displayed to the user.

In response to this determination, roles may be assigned to the devices. These roles may be associated with profile settings on the devices that define how information is presented to the user within media guidance applications running on the devices. In some embodiments, the systems and methods may then determine that one of the user equipment devices is no longer within the perceivable range of the other user equipment devices. In response to this determination, the user device that is no longer within the perceivable range of the other devices may be assigned a role such that the presentation of information now occurs on that user device.
