    Abstract: A solar panel rack assembly. The assembly is configured to pivotably support one or more solar panels. A microcontroller and gear system adjusts the angle at which the solar panels supported by the assembly are disposed throughout the day, thereby allowing the solar panels to track the path of the sun, which maximizes the impingement of solar energy on the panels and more evenly distributes daily electrical production during daylight hours. The assembly includes a panel lock configured to simultaneously support multiple solar panels, which allows for the solar panels to be connected together in arrays without the need for a racking for each individual solar panel.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, the invention provides a method for programming flash memory while maintaining a constant error correction term. A data field and forcing bits are arranged in a packing order. Next, all the forcing bits are set to a logical zero value. A first error correction term is generated using the data field and forcing bits as an input to an ECC encoding algorithm. An exclusive OR function is performed on the constant error correction term and the first error correction term creating a difference term. A forcing function is applied to the difference term creating a new value for the forcing bits. The data field and the forcing bits are written to the flash memory.

    Abstract: An automated device and method for obtaining a tissue biopsy and the delivery of a material to provide hemostatis, therapeutic agents or marker material is described that can be used in conjunction with a cutting needle biopsy device. The device has an outer casing, a power source, a drive mechanism, an application chamber through which the biopsy mechanism, typically a cutting needle device, passes through and an application channel. The cutting biopsy mechanism has a mechanical or electromechanical mechanism to rapidly fire a stylet with a biopsy trough into the intended tissue and then rapidly propel a biopsy cannula over the stylet to sever and retain tissue that has protruded into the biopsy trough. At least one application channel is formed by a tube centrically slipped over the biopsy cannula wall. To enable the collection of tissue specimens, the distal segment of the application channel forms a close fitting and concentric sheath around the biopsy cannula.

    Abstract: A compact, relatively small unit for treatment of wastewater for discharge into maritime waters is disclosed. The wastewater is received in a surge or retention tank and is delivered by gravity flow or pumped to a macerator for comminution of the solids content of the wastewater. Prior to entering the macerator, salt water on a controlled flow basis is added to the wastewater in sufficient amounts to insure a high enough salt content for use as the electrolyte in an electrocatalytic cell. From the macerator the wastewater to be treated is directed into a vertically oriented, elongated, electrocatalytic cell having a plurality of parallel, closely spaced electrodes therein positioned parallel to the flow of wastewater therethrough. The wastewater is directed through the electrocatalytic unit. The end electrodes of the spaced electrode plates are connected to a source of direct current sufficient to generate chlorine, oxygen and other treating chemicals in situ.

    Abstract: A continuous system for disinfecting waste water streams, such as sewage and streams containing organic matter and removing suspended solids therefrom is disclosed. A waste water stream is passed into an electrolytic cell open to the atmosphere and between a series of electrically charged parallel electrode plates. A controlled amount of electrolyte such as sodium chloride is added to the waste water stream before it passes through the electrolytic cell. During passage between the electrode plates a foam is generated which entrains suspended selected nutrient solids contained in the waste water stream, the foam removed by skimming and/or suction means. The treated water discharged from the electrolytic cell is filtered to remove additional non-nutrient suspended solids not entrained with the foam. A portion of the treated water from the electrolytic cell is recycled and reinjected into the influent stream.
