  • Publication number: 20060270298
Abstract: A textured and printed membrane has an embossed top layer with a protective coating, a fabric layer, a printed bottom layer with a protective coating, where the layers are adhered with a PVC plastisol. The printing pattern matches the embossing, such that the membrane has the appearance of cloth on both sides. The textured vinyl membrane composite has a thickness of from 10 to 35 mils. The membrane can be fitted on an awning to display illuminated (white/opaque) graphics (lettering or design). The top layer is preferably compounded PVC formulated with a colorant. The bottom layer is also PVC, typically formulated with a flame retardant package, such as antimony trioxide or brominated compounds, aluminum trihydrate, magnesium hydroxide, and the like to suppress the spread of an ignited flame. Both top and bottom layers can have heat stabilizers and lubricants to improve processing of the PVC.

  • Publication number: 20050248597
Abstract: A method for modifying data streams to run faster in a data system for an ink jet printing system entails identifying a source of the data stream and operating the data stream at an initial rate. Large commands sets are identified in the data stream and are extracted from the data stream to reduce the size of the data stream. The large commands sets are placed in a secondary storage and a smaller set of commands is inserted into the data stream with new commands to replace the large sets so the data stream operates at a faster rate. Alternative methods include methods for modifying data streams to run faster in a data system for a printing system and methods for modifying potential data streams to run faster in a data system for a printing system.

  • Publication number: 20050210808
Abstract: The present invention is a single ply building membrane comprising a single ply membrane with a base and a cap layer and a top and bottom surface, having a predetermined printed design on the cap layer, and a predetermined texture on at least one surface of the membrane. The membrane may comprise compounds selected from the group consisting of thermoplastics and thermosets. The printed and textured designs may be of a laid roof or siding. The invention includes a method of installing a single ply building membrane on a building surface and a method of manufacturing such membrane.

  • Publication number: 20050210802
Abstract: A single ply mechanically embossed roofing membrane in a roll form for use in commercial applications on flat and low pitched roofs. The roofing membrane preferably includes a scrim or reinforcement sheet sandwiched between a top layer and a bottom layer, wherein the bottom layer is completely embossed with various configurations forming alternating ridges and valleys. The embossed roofing membrane improves roll blocking upon installation. The embossed roofing membrane can be installed by fully adhering or mechanically attaching to the roof deck.

  • Publication number: 20050196253
Abstract: A two-piece fastener assembly for securing thermoplastic roof membranes to an underlying roof deck having: a stress plate and a fastener. The stress plate consists of a pre-fabricated metal layer and a thermoplastic layer which are integral with each other. The stress plate has top having three flat surfaces and two circumferential portions, forming ridges or protuberances connecting the flat surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20050183261
Abstract: The present invention is a method of securing a first thermoplastic membrane to a second thermoplastic membrane and securing these membranes to an underlying deck. The steps of the method comprise providing a composite fastener, placing the first thermoplastic membrane on the deck, placing the composite fastener on a marginal portion of the first thermoplastic membrane, driving the composite fastener through the first thermoplastic membrane into the deck to fasten it, placing the second thermoplastic membrane to overlap the composite fastener and the marginal portion of the first thermoplastic membrane, and lastly welding the membranes to the composite fastener and each other in a substantially continuous seam.

  • Publication number: 20050177339
Abstract: A test surface of a test object is measured with respect to a reference surface to generate a first relative surface measurement, where the test surface is in a first position relative to the reference surface. The test surface is measured with respect to the reference surface to generate a second relative surface measurement, where the test surface is in a second position relative to the reference surface different from the first position. Estimates of a rotationally varying part of a measurement of the test surface and a rotationally varying part of a measurement of the reference surface are provided. An estimate of a rotationally invariant part of the measurement of the test surface is calculated at a plurality of radial values based on a combination of the relative surface measurements, the provided estimates, and a difference between the first and second relative positions.

  • Patent number: 4263789
Abstract: In a power driven roller conveyor having a plurality of rollers each connected to a shaft and a plurality of driven sprockets one of which is rotatably mounted on each of the shafts, a torque-responsive coupling is interposed between a driving member connected to each sprocket and a driven member connected to each shaft so that the rotation of any roller will be interrupted if the resistance to rotation exceeds a desired value, thereby permitting articles on the conveyor to be stopped and accumulated without undue scuffing and wear on the articles or on the rollers. The coupling consists of a wobble plate which is connected to the driven member for oscillating movement about a center coincident with the axis of the shaft and which has a surface disposed transversely to the axis of the shaft and facing the driving member. The wobble plate is spring urged toward the driving member.
