The jacket is made of flame resistant, water resistant, and heat resistant material. The jacket also has a built-in vapor barrier. The jacket thus provides good protection for the firefighter, while also permitting good ventilation, and while also permitting freedom of leg movement for walking, crawling, and climbing, and the like.
