  • Publication number: 20240050964
Abstract: A vapor generating system for generating neutrally buoyant tracer particles to be used in air pattern analysis is disclosed, including a fluid reservoir configured for receiving a volume of fluid to be vaporized, a pump in fluid connection with the fluid reservoir, a heater in communication with the fluid reservoir, a controller unit in communication with the pump and the heater, the controller unit comprising a flow controller and a heater controller, and a flow sensor in communication with the fluid reservoir and the flow controller for measuring a fluid flow rate, wherein selection of a fluid type and vapor intensity configures the flow controller to actuate the pump to provide a predetermined fluid flow rate from the fluid reservoir and further configures the heater controller to actuate the heater to provide a predetermined heater temperature to the fluid at the predetermined flow rate.

  • Patent number: 7502110
Abstract: A device is illustrated for detecting particles in a fluid that can detect smaller particles without the need for added power or space and can be implemented inexpensively. The device utilizes two mirrors and a photo-diode. The housing of the photo-electric diode is machined to form one of the mirrors. The mirrors have a special positioning so that the second mirror uses the first mirror to reflect light deflected by particles back to the photo-electric diode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2006
Date of Patent: March 10, 2009
    Assignee: Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions, Inc
Inventors: Thomas C. Saunders, William L. Shade, Rocco D. Pochy, Scott H. Salton
