  • Patent number: 10404039
Abstract: An energy storage unit (ESU) is provided herein. The ESU includes a housing forming an interior volume configured to store a plurality of batteries that can collectively provide a maximum power level. The ESU includes a segmented branch interconnect system including a power transfer assembly that includes a first power interconnect system and a second power interconnect system. The second power interconnect system is configured to be coupled to a first adjacent power interconnect system of a first adjacent ESU. The power transfer assembly includes one or more conductors coupled to the first power interconnect system and the second power interconnect system, and is configured to transfer electrical power therebetween. The power transfer assembly is rated to transfer a power level that is at least three times the maximum power level provided by the plurality of batteries stored in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5373691
Abstract: A method and apparatus for eliminating vortex whistle noise in a radial-to-axial compressor intake uses a plurality of vortex-disturbing tabs mounted to the trailing edges of inlet guide vanes and extending into the flow path between adjacent vanes. The tabs are mounted to the guide vane so that the tab is always perpendicular to the guide vane, regardless of the vanes angular position.

  • Patent number: 4917355
Abstract: An improved stop valve eliminates the need for O-rings and washers. The valve contains a one piece unitary stem formed of resilient compressible plastic material. The stem contains three separate seals and fits within, extends through and is moveable in a valve sleeve. Operating the handle moves the stem axially between a first axial position in which the valve is fully open and a second axial position in which the valve is fully closed. The first seal is operative to provide a seal responsive to said stem being in the first axial position, the second seal means is operative to provide a seal responsive to said stem being in the second axial position, and the third seal is operative to seal in all axial positions.

  • Patent number: 4836238
Abstract: A easily manufactured unitary valve and filter assembly of compact design allows replacement of the installed particulate filter without requiring difficult dissasembly. A cylindrical mesh filter is contained in a capped receptacle in the assembly and is accessible by removal of the cap. The shut off valve is operable to stop fluid flow while the filter is withdrawn from its receptacle in the assembly to be cleaned or replaced.

  • Patent number: 4729400
Abstract: A liquid control assembly for controlling the flow of a liquid into a reservoir. A float means for shutting off the flow of liquid when the reservoir is full is provided. Also, a means for independently shutting off the flow of liquid is provided so that an easily accessible filter may be removed and cleaned.

  • Patent number: 4435740
Abstract: This electronic circuit device packaging member enables a higher density of substrate pads and connection block pins to be connected at lower cost and greater yield than for prior art devices. The packaging member comprises a multiple of conductors fixed in place by a flexible film carrier of annular configuration surrounding a ceramic substrate bearing electronic circuit components having input/output terminal connecting pads about the periphery of the substrate. Electric circuit connecting blocks having connecting pins are arranged at the periphery of the annular carrier. The multiple of conductors individually interconnect corresponding pads and pins. The film carrier has apertures at the locations of the pads and at the locations of the pins where the conductors or lands are configured for ready connection to the pads and pins, or by gang soldering. The dimensions of the apertures and the conductors or lands afford considerable leeway in making the connections.

  • Patent number: 4014207
Abstract: This is an ultrasonic transducer scanning support system comprising at least three arms serially joined in pivotal relation one to the other and to a base. Three position transponders are mounted on the base with each of the pivoted arms operatively coupled to a transponder whereby signals are developed representative of the position of a transducer mounted on the end of the third arm which control the origin of an indicating means to correspond to the position of the transducer.

  • Patent number: 3951106
Abstract: A modular kennel having an individual exercise area and enclosure for each dog. Each enclosure has a door which can be operated by the dog to allow access to the adjacent exercise area in addition to having a gate leading to a common area for grooming, cleaning and general storage. The kennel is comprised of a number of kennel units which are attached to one another to form buildings of various sizes which in turn are connected by corridors. The net effect is a kennel which is efficient, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing.
