Patent number: 7367395Abstract: A sand control completion (100) for installation in a wellbore (102) includes first and second packers (114, 116) that define a first zone (110) in the wellbore (102). A production tubing (120) extends substantially through the first zone (110). Positioned between the first and second packers (114, 116) are a sand control screen (130), an inflow control valve (122) and a crossover valve (126). The sand control screen forms a first annulus (152) with the production tubing (120) and a second annulus with the wellbore (102). The inflow control valve (122) is operable to selectively allow and prevent fluid communication between the first annulus (152) and the interior of the production tubing (120). The crossover valve (126) is operable to selectively allow and prevent fluid communication between the production tubing (120) and the second annulus.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2004Date of Patent: May 6, 2008Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: William Launey Vidrine, Travis T. Hailey, Jr.

Patent number: 7079952Abstract: A method of real time field wide reservoir management comprising the steps of processing collected field wide reservoir data in accordance with one or more predetermined algorithms to obtain a resultant desired field wide production/injection forecast, generating a signal to one or more individual well control devices instructing the device to increase or decrease flow through the well control device, transmitting the signal to the individual well control device, opening or closing the well control device in response to the signal to increase or decrease the production for one or more selected wells on a real time basis. The system for field wide reservoir management comprising a CPU for processing collected field wide reservoir data, generating a resultant desired field wide production/injection forecast and calculating a target production rate for one or more wells and one or more down hole production/injection control devices.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2004Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Jacob Thomas, Craig William Godfrey, William Launey Vidrine, Jerry Wayne Wauters, Douglas Donald Seiler
