Abstract: In one embodiment, a depassivating circuit includes a battery, a resistive load coupled to the battery, and a magnetic field sensor. The magnetic field sensor detects a presence of a magnetic field. The magnetic field sensor depassivates the battery by causing current from the battery to flow through the resistive load, in response to the presence of the magnetic field. The magnetic field sensor detects removal of the magnetic field. The magnetic field sensor ends depassivation of the battery, in response to the removal of the magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 12109017
Abstract: A platform for monitoring range of motion in a joint includes initiating a range of motion monitoring application and connecting the application to a video communication platform. Video data, comprising the joint of the patient, is received from the communication platform. The platform may be used to determine that the patient is in position for calculating a range of motion of the joint, and capture an image of the joint from the received video data. The platform receives, from a user, a selection of a first set of points used in measuring range of motion, and calculates a first angle measurement associated with the range of motion of the joint based on the selected set of points. The captured image is displayed together with an overlay comprising the first set of points and the first calculated angle, and the captured image and the overlay are stored to a storage device.

  • Publication number: 20240321395
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed relate to a method of quality control for a biological sample. The method can include receiving genetic data sequenced from the biological sample, determining whether an endogenous control is apparent in the genetic data, and in the event that the endogenous control is apparent in the genetic data, determining whether the biological sample is contaminated. The genetic data can be analyzed for sequences from both pathogen genetic material and mitochondrial genetic material. The endogenous control can be determined based on whether at least a threshold amount of the genetic data includes sequences for the mitochondrial genetic material.

  • Publication number: 20240320030
Abstract: A determination is made whether a requested transaction of a certain type or class is available (i.e., suitable for execution or queueing) within a processing environment. In the case that a transaction of the certain type or class is not available, the request to be rejected is enabled, thus avoiding queuing of the requested transaction. Embodiments may thus provide a mechanism to protect a processing environment by avoiding the overhead of creating and removing specific transactions of the certain type or class.
