Abstract: A recommendation engine is configured to provide a recommendation for a product within a set of products to a user belonging to a group of a plurality of users within a larger set of users each user having unique user identification information and each product having unique product identification information. Product reviews are obtained from the set of users for at least some of the products within the set of products. Reviews are stored in a database along with corresponding product identification information and the user identification information of the user providing the review. Each user within the set of users is allocated to a group within a plurality of groups based upon the product reviews provided by the users. A user is provided with a recommendation based upon the group the user is allocated to and the reviews provided by other members of the group.
