  • Patent number: 12089731
Abstract: A coupling system between the frame and the leg assembly of a workstation is described. The coupling system can be configured to selectively attach and detach the leg assembly from the frame. The leg assembly can include an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism can be configured to adjust the length of the leg. The leg assembly can include a leg coupling feature and the frame can have a frame coupling feature. The leg coupling feature can be configured to engage with the frame coupling feature, for instance to attach the leg to the frame. The workstation can include a latch configured to engage with the leg assembly. Engagement of the latch with the leg assembly can secure a position of the leg with respect to the frame.

  • Publication number: 20040032562
Abstract: An apparatus and method for altering a contrast of an as-manufactured LCD device is described. The LCD device includes a contrast-setting circuit and a printed circuit flex. During the assembly process, a shunt around a resistor in a voltage divider subcircuit of the contrast-setting circuit extends onto a portion of the printed circuit flex. Due to the shunt, the resistor is initially in a shorted state such that the resistor does not influence the contrast-setting circuit. During a stage of the assembly process, a current contrast of the liquid crystal display device is determined. If the current contrast deviates from an intended contrast, the portion of the printed circuit flex is severed from the rest of the printed circuit flex such that the resistor becomes unshorted and thereby influences the contrast-setting circuit to provide a contrast closer to the intended contrast.

  • Patent number: 6440452
Abstract: Devices and methods for enhancing the healing of wounds, especially chronic wounds (e.g., diabetic wounds), involving the use of keratinocytes are described. Keratinocytes are grown on a transplantable solid support (e.g., collagen-coated beads), and the keratinocyte-coated solid support is placed in an enclosure. The enclosure, in turn, is placed in the wound for use as an interactive wound healing promoter.

  • Patent number: 5972332
Abstract: Devices and methods for enhancing the healing of wounds, especially chronic wounds (e.g., diabetic wounds), are provided involving the use of keratinocytes. Keratinocytes are grown on a transplantable solid support (e.g., collagen-coated beads), and the keratinocyte-coated solid support is placed in an enclosure. The enclosure, in turn, is placed in the wound for use as an interactive wound healing promoter. After the enclosure is placed in a wound, the wound may be covered with a dressing. The enclosure is degradable or non-degradable, and is constructed from a membrane or a porous polyester mesh material having pores that are either too small or large enough for keratinocytes to cross. A means may be attached to the enclosure to enable removing the enclosure from a wound.
