Abstract: An adaptable terraced planter and system having a plurality of planters, each planter comprising a plastic body configured to retain soil with hinge brackets at each end that when interlocked with a pin or rod form a hinge there between to rotatably connect the planters together, and thereby enable the attachment of said at least one of the plurality of planters to another planter in more than one selective orientation and to allow for the stacking of rows of planters in vertical or tiered rows or variants thereof that conform to a wide variety of topographies.

Abstract: A roof planter comprising a body capable of placement upon a roof, a pad in association with the body, growth medium, and vegetation in association with the growth medium. The pad is composed of a material that is compatible with the surface of the roof, and is positioned between the body and the roof, the body retaining the growth medium when the roof planter is placed upon a roof. The roof planters are configured so as to enable the nesting of one roof planter within another.

Abstract: The present invention provides recombinant nucleic acid molecules, expression cassettes, and vectors useful for expression of polypeptides, including heterologous polypeptides, such as antigens, in bacteria. Some of the recombinant nucleic acid molecules, expression cassettes and vectors comprise codon-optimized sequences encoding the polypeptides and/or signal peptides. Some of the recombinant nucleic acid molecules, expression cassettes, and expression vectors comprise sequences encoding non-Listerial and/or non-secA1 signal peptides for secretion of the polypeptides. The invention also provides bacteria comprising the nucleic acid molecules, expression cassettes, and expression vectors, as well as compositions such as vaccines comprising the bacteria. Methods of making and using the bacteria, recombinant nucleic acid molecules, and expression cassettes are also provided.
