Patent number: 12213564Abstract: A method for optimizing individually tailored garments includes measuring at least one body part and generating a first data set for manufacturing the garment, including measured data, manufacturing the garment based on the data, the garment including a passive indicator element via which properties and/or changes of the garment due to wear is determined, and use of the first garment. The method includes examining the first garment regarding changes due to wear for producing a second similar garment, thereby generating a second data set containing measured data of the first garment, comparing the second and first data sets, and checking the passive indicator element with regard to information relevant to producing the second garment. Then, a third data set based on the first and second data sets, and the result from the passive indicator element check is generated, and the second garment is manufactured based on the third data set.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2021Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: EEKUAL BIONIC GMBHInventor: William Lyons

Publication number: 20240271906Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for deploying an entanglement device, which includes a handheld device that can launch the entanglement device such as a net, toward a person or group of people in an effort to impede or restrain. The launcher includes an upper launcher section and a lower chamber, and sized to be held in one hand. The entanglement device is coupled to the upper launcher section in a way that it unfurls when launched from the launcher. The lower chamber may be pressurized and separated from the upper chamber by a valve or sacrificial diaphragm. The pressure from the lower chamber may be abruptly relieved into the upper chamber to force the entanglement device from of the launcher. The filling of the lower chamber may be accomplished through a standard auto tire nozzle in a coupling at the bottom of the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2024Publication date: August 15, 2024Inventors: William Lyons, Ann Arens

Publication number: 20050242673Abstract: A continuously rotating North seeking electro-magnet which attempts to align itself with the Earth's magnetic lines of force. The electro-magnet has the ability to change its polarity with each one-half revolution in the case of a unit with one electro-magnet only. With each half revolution the rotation is accelerated due to a boost given by the collapsing magnetic field in the electro-magnet at the moment of polarity reversal. The device is not self starting, starting from a external source of power, such as a battery. The device is connected to a generator which only requires that it be caused to rotate to develop electrical current. The output from this generator is then used to energize the electromagnet described in the first paragraph. The outside source of starting power may then be disconnected once the motor/generator is up to speed. The device is then running without a external source of power and will run continuously while generating electricity.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2004Publication date: November 3, 2005Inventor: William Lyons
