Patent number: 10049779Abstract: An internally powered electromagnetic signal transmitter is described in which defined magnetic fields direct beta radioisotope electrons to induce gigahertz oscillations in resonant cavities. The device resonant cavities can be fabricated from light weight metalized plastic materials to greatly decrease its weight compared to conventional gigahertz sources. The transmitter output power, frequencies, and longevity are a function of the magnetic field strength, radioisotope quantity, half-life, and decay energy. Embodiments of the disclosed devices can transmit frequencies in the S and Ka bands.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2015Date of Patent: August 14, 2018Assignee: Ayers Group, LLCInventor: William M. Ayers

Publication number: 20180226165Abstract: A power or photon source uses beta electrons emitted by a radioisotope. The beta electrons encounter a magnetic field which can confine them into helical trajectories to efficiently generate excimer photons from a precursor gas. In electrical power generation embodiments, the emitted photons are used to ultimately generate electricity. The photons, or derivative photons emitted by a phosphor, can be absorbed by photovoltaic cell(s) to generate the electrical power.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2018Publication date: August 9, 2018Applicant: Ayers Group, LLCInventor: William M. Publication number: 20080301060Abstract: A computer implemented method to provide a valuation estimate and secondary market exchange for private equity securities is disclosed. The valuation of the security is accomplished through a performance ranking in which time dependent values of multiple quantitative and weighted qualitative factors are calculated to provide a automated surrogate method for a traditional due diligence valuation. This method greatly facilitates the valuation analysis and liquidity of the private equity. The market participants are limited to US Securities and Exchange Commission defined accredited investors.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2008Publication date: December 4, 2008Inventor: William M. Method and apparatus for constant composition delivery of hydride gases for semiconductor processing
Patent number: 6080297Abstract: The present invention provides an electrochemical system and process for the production of very high purity hydride gases and the feed product streams including these hydride gases at constant composition over extended periods of time. The processes and apparatuses of the invention can employ a lined pressure vessel (1) within which resides an electrochemical cell including cathode (2) and anode (3) material. The hydride gas produced within the vessel exits through port (4) to a manifold which contains automatic valve (8) to allow exit of the hydride gas. The hydride gas passes through one or more filters (7). The gas finally exits the manifold through a pressure regulator (6) to the point where it is utilized in semiconductor fabrication. A source of gas (11) for mixing with the hydride gas is also included.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1998Date of Patent: June 27, 2000Assignee: Electron Transfer Technologies, Inc.Inventor: William M. Patent number: 5141604Abstract: The present invention involves a method of chemically removing a mobile atom from a mobile atom-containing reactant molecule. The method includes: (a) absorbing the mobile atom-containing reactant on one side of a solid, mobile atom transmissive membrane; (b) passing the mobile atom through the membrane to the opposite surface; (c) reacting the mobile atom; (d) desorbing the mobile atom depleted reactant molecule from the reaction side of the membrane. The mobile atom may be hydrogen and the method preferably involves controlling the flux of mobile atoms through the membrane to control the rate of removal of mobile atoms from the first reactant molecule. Electrically conductive, atom permeable, biasing means are used to control the surface potential, e.g. biasing means on the hydrogen removal reaction side as well as biasing means on the opposite side of the membrane. The reactor used in the method is another aspect of the present invention.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 1989Date of Patent: August 25, 1992Assignee: Electron Transfer Technologies, Inc.Inventor: William M. Patent number: 4726904Abstract: An apparatus for the separation of macroion groups from a mixture utilizing a three field device for generating forces on the macroions including means for applying a centrifugal force, means for applying a magnetophoretic force, and means for applying a constant or variable electrophoretic force. In a separation step the centrifugal and magetophoretic forces assist in forming the macroions in separate groups of concentric bands on a rotating platform. The constant electrophoretic force may be optionally used to assist in this step. In an analytical step to characterize the mass and charge of the macroions, the electrophoretic and magnetophoretic forces are used to oppose the centrifugal force to control and hold the macroion bands at fixed positions on the platform. A band detection means is used to characterize the positions of the macroion bands on the platform. The variable electrophoretic force may be optionally used in a detection part of the analytical step.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1984Date of Patent: February 23, 1988Assignee: Senetek P L CInventor: William M. Patent number: 4653421Abstract: An oil skimming and utility vessel for operation in significant seas which functions to calm wave action for further oil contaminant separation operations or other marine utility operations. The vessel is a barge having forward tank compartmentation with a large stern compartment formed as sides and bottom tank open to incoming surface wave action from astern. The stern compartment then houses one or more serially arranged combinations of wave dampeners, distributors and conveyors, and baffle structure which functions to calm incoming surface water and/or contaminated oil/water mixtures. In oil skimming operation a porous-type oil stripping conveyor is employed in primary oil removal with a subsequent secondary oil skimming operation in the calm water forward portion of the stern compartment. Alternatively, the stern compartment is configured with the dampener, conveyor and baffle structure to protect a calm water, surface level work station.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1986Date of Patent: March 31, 1987Assignee: Halliburton CompanyInventors: William M.
