Abstract: A processing platform is introduced that enables seamless integration between various components in a network-connected payment processing ecosystem to enable, for example, the conversion of points and miles to spendable cash, rewards and discounts, selective spending from third-party funded purses, scoring and weighting of basket items for rule-based filtering, and tracking and reporting consumer spending behavior by market basket content.

A central database connected to the internet: enables customers to register unique customer registration information; is able to store this information and assign unique identifiers to it; and is accessible to incentives providers to make available digital incentives. The customer redeems digital incentives at one of the existing point-of-sale terminals at the time of purchase by first presenting their unique identifier.
