  • Publication number: 20040026335
Abstract: The present multi-stage photo-catalytic oxidation fluid treatment system that uses a plurality of modules to implement an efficient, scalable and cost effective fluid treatment process to remove contaminants from a fluid. The multi-stage photo-catalytic oxidation fluid treatment system relies on mechanical and electronic elements, instead of chemicals, to treat the fluid that is input to the system and provide enhanced treatment of the contaminated fluid. The use of ozone and ions causes reactions with the contaminants that are contained in the fluid to purge the contaminants from the fluid or convert the contaminants to a form where they can be removed from the fluid or are rendered harmless.

  • Patent number: 6572817
Abstract: A system for treating a contaminated liquid wherein atmospheric air is fed into an oxygen generator with the resulting gases fed into an ozone generator and the resulting gases fed into a treatment tower as the contaminated liquid flows through the treatment tower is modified by locating apparatus between the oxygen generator and the ozone generator which apparatus receives the gases from the oxygen generator, ionizes such gases and feeds the ionized gases to the ozone generator.

  • Patent number: 6251287
Abstract: A system for treating a nitrate contaminated liquid to remove deleterious or undesirable nitrates therefrom wherein a supply of ionized nitrogen is entrained into a continuous stream of a nitrate contaminated liquid and thereafter is exposed to treating apparatus which changes the nitrates in the nitrate contaminated liquid into at least ionized nitrogen which then combines with the ionized nitrogen entrained in the continuous stream of a nitrate contaminated liquid to form a separated nitrogen gas and a treated liquid.

  • Patent number: 5795442
Abstract: A sealing device for sealing the opposite sides of upper and lower converging liquid pervious moving belts used in dewatering a liquid slurry containing fibrous materials wherein the upper and lower liquid pervious belts converge from an entrance portion to an exit portion and wherein the sealing device is formed from an elastomeric material and has a base portion and two integral diverging lip portions which taper vertically and horizontally from the entrance portion to the exit portion. The inner surfaces of each lip portion has a first tapered surface extending from at least adjacent to the entrance portion to at least adjacent to the exit portion of the apparatus and a second tapered surface extending from at least adjacent to the exit portion to at least adjacent to the entrance portion of the apparatus. Each sealing device is preferably formed as two sections each of which may be adjusted for vertical, horizontal and pivotal adjustment.
